Well....hmmm....more head scratching here...Cryers know they're back in it now. Dig deep Pens, control the posession this 3rd. Need this one pretty bad.
Btw Doc...you'd be proud. I was wearing my WV hat during the first, I flipped it to my Pens one, and.....results lol!...maybe I should change to a third option now?

Claims the latest smart money out of Ottawa is the Sens will do a sign (so he can get the 8th year) and trade with Eriksson. In Ek's world, it's the Habs and Oil involved, with the Oil then rumored to be offering up Draisaitl in exchange. I'll believe it when I see it.
Assuming there's even the remotest shred of legitimacy to that particular rumor, what the hell could Montreal offer to counter THAT kind of exchange ?? I don't know what kind of year Draisaitl has had.....or if the bloom actually HAS come off his rose somewhat......but I find it hard to believe they'd actually offer him up even for someone like Eriksson.

Couturier isn't exactly John Carlson or Brett Burns defensively, but that WAS a pretty strong play by Sid.

Assuming it's Karl...and were I the Oil I would likely do it. Sens likely have NO choice to get but what they can now.

Wings, Devils, then Habs...can we expect 3 W's? Maybe not but I liked a lot of the pushback we saw after that 1st today. MM was not as stellar as the crew would have us believe but I thought he was solid.... in saying that he needs to be lights out going into these last few and playoff...
They did not quit. And if that's the playoff draw (which I admit I prefer to the Blojax or Devils), it will be interesting.
Anyone else concerned about the MM we saw the last two games? I know the Flyers threw a ton of rubber at him but two of those goals weren't good ones.

Pens are 7th in the league allowing 31.2 shots a game but tied for 22nd in save percentage (Partially due to Niemi's failed stint). I can't find a team blocked shots stat. The Flyer goal yesterday where he lost his angle was not typical MM.
if he struggles in a couple weeks then, I'll worry. the guy has responded well every single time.
The NBC crew practically annointed him as the greatest thing since P Roy toward the end of broadcast which I found amusing. He was ok imo, but ok isn't gonna do the job come playoffs, he has to get on the kinda tear he had before the latest injury, lights out when called upon.
In saying that when I scroll across other fan comment feeds (idiot FB et al) the way some not only throw him under the bus but drive it back and forth over the kid is gonna perhaps run him outta town one day...
Fleury this Fleury that on top of it...he has not won two Cups by accident, especially behind the various incarnations of Pens D. He's always seemed to have ice in his veins since junior days and if the death of his pops didn't alter that attitude I'm pretty sure nothing will. Of course as I say he will need to get slightly better. Just my 2 cents.
matt murray has never had to be replaced by thomas vokoun in the playoffs because we can't trust him... yet.
