Honestly none...although Simpson just remarked on how the Sens will be taking numbers for next game after the Kunitz 'hit' on Brassard? Was there one? Lmao....they are seriously praising the Pens effort down low and the speed...how refreshing!

Wow...Karlsson twisted up there a bit at end of period and in significant pain...doubt we see him back in 3. I hope he's back next game...want to beat their best.
Hrudey tears Boucher apart over his decisions back and forth with the goalies, as does my nieghbour (the best beer league goalie in town) lol...Plenty of Pens praise and Sens roasting that intermission....

Canada vs Swedes now in OT in the final of World Championships...i was vexed that both games were this aft...I have now SAFELY changed the channel. Who's with me here? Who wants to see Lundqvist lose?!?

I have no trouble rooting against Lundqvist; meanwhile t, I've got a question for you......

Would fans North of the border be more inclined to tune into the playoffs OR the IIHF today ?? Granted, the Sens give non loyal Canada fans a reason to watch the NHL as a first priority; but I presume the blowout gave everyone a reason to bail after the 1st period.

I'm going to stay with the Pens; I admit my personal interest in the WC is, at best, middling, Meanwhile, Daley scores on the PP; 7-0 Guins.

Doc just said Malkin had 23 points in the SC playoffs to lead all players. It just seems to me like a sort of inconspicuous 23 points.

Keith Jones surprises me, but Assclown Milbury said it could have been penalized but he did not think it was worth of a suspension. F'in amazing!

The majority of my pals here were watching both, and thought it pretty good that the Pens were up so much early...this comment from my one pal 'what the bloody hell? Pens/Sens and Gold Medal WC both at same time? This is BS!'....And he is a Leaves fan...needless to say, it was quite an afternoon on a Sunday for mid May lol...long and short of it is that it is a good day for hockey from what I see. There is a lot of interest up here this year, I am not sure how much of it has to do with Ottawa in....

So, Tommy Wingels takes the cheap shot elbow at Wilson in the last minute......and whether or not he's suspended, it likely won't matter because he's just as likely to sit in Game 6 as he is to dress. Meanwhile, I'm particularly glad to see Bonino and Cullen get off the snide today.

No question in my mind now that Borowiecki will dress on Tuesday and be out running Penguins in a way that makes Phaneuf look like a beginner. Pens may (or may not) close out the Sens in Game 6, but the Sens will certainly make them pay for a closeout win physically.

Probably Ottawa's biggest concern right now is if Anderson's unexpectedly great run in goal indeed has come officially to an end......let's just say I hope so.

Did you hear I think Kessel it was? That picked Nick up on the way to the game when his truck broke down lol? Thank goodness!

I think the good guys show again at CTC but it will be close to the vest like earlier...meanwhile I see Lundqvist lift the WC trophy and still think...oh Henrik...you are such a cosmo NY boy now...wouldnt you rather THE CUP again? You bet yur ass you would!!! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

How you feelin hbeacheer? After today's beat down I think The Sens know damnwell what they need to do Tuesday, they will revert back to likely their biggest trap effort to date, they have no choice, it's what has given them 2 games, not to say they didnt try this off the hop tonight, but the Pens were just too quick for them, and THANKS Rusty for bringin some speed in your return from injury!....If Karlsson is back I expect a tough sled but still a victory...late in game...

I didn't hear that story about Bonino and Kessel.......meanwhile, did anyone see (or hear) ANYTHING from Bobby Ryan today. May have had the single quietest 20:12 with 2 SOG (-1) in League history.

In the post game, there's been a lot of talk about a new Karlsson injury (probably an ankle, and only 12:36 TOI) as well as Ceci (13:13 TOI) leaving the game injured as well. I get the idea of beating the opponent with their best lineup; but given ALL the injury benefits the Sens enjoyed in the first 4 games, I admit I couldn't care less if those two are done for the season (which won't be the case).

Meanwhile....one more here...what did you guys think of the Captains performance tonight and even last game? He started out damn slow but then seemed to get right engaged in the pile on...I am looking for a solid effort outta him on Tues night...we will need him to play smart and effective, i expect to see the Turris attempt at the leg sweep all game long in the FO circle...he needs to overcome it. Pens will need to control these draws as best they can on the road...

Faceoff stats:

Sid 6-12
Bonino 6-8
Cullen 7-7
Geno 4-6

Pageau 10-6
Smith 6-8
Turris 19-6
Wingels 0-2

Not exactly sure how Turris took 25 draws in 22:12 TOI. Meanwhile, Bonino led Pens forwards with 16:52 TOI.....Hagelin was second at 16:15......and Rowney took the bronze at 15:26. Sid played 14:52......Geno 14:00.....and Kessel only 12:56; obviously, HCMS was resting (and protecting) his key guys.

Maatta's goal...

wow... short side and a laser beam...

not even fair...

Game 5 batting helmet to a VERY deserving Carter Rowney.......until now, 2017's version of Sheary and Rusty.
