Pens Offseason/ rest of NHL playoffs

I’m definitely not rooting for that huge dickhead Torts! Effem! And same goes for Marchand and the B’s! I’d actually love to see San Jose finally break through. Be good to see Jumbo Joe get one. And to be honest I think that’s the team most likely to win it now. Haven’t looked at the odds yet so I’m guessing. Most of all I just want as many 7 game series as possible and as many OT’s as we can get. Nothing better than the Stanley Cup Playoffs!

if the pens were not full of sissy boys and torts was our coach you would love the guy... take off the pens glasses and look at it objectively.

I do like the fact these two will beat the bejeezus out of each other though...yes I do like that.

so far it hasn't disappointed.

I do think this is the direction the penguins need to go with their aging core that they choose to keep. get some more size and some structure. kind of seen that already this season with gudbranson and bjugstad.

maata seems to be the odd guy out on d to shed some salary. I'd be all for some picks in return fin the deals as well.

I walked away for 5 or 10 and...new game in 3...but hey I guess that is just what the Blojax have been doing this playoff... screwin about, lying in wait...and then whammo. Reminds me of our guys a few years back lol.

Side note for @Irwineer2 , @Euell and any other baseball heads...it's a BIG deal around here today.
I'm hopeful the current mgmt does a better job than the previous guys that pissed away the best years of Halladay and Delgado's careers....Still not sold on these former Tribe guys...
I also hear this kid has a full on entourage that comes with... not sure what that means, but hopefully he keeps his head on straight. Thinking they likely slot him in at the 6-7 to give him enough AB's without having to be the hero... anyway, here we go!

From a certain Rangers scout chatting on the golf course with a friend...take it FWIW...

'Here’s your Geno info...only a handful of teams would be interested, close to a cup but lacking a star with deep prospects and cap space, Florida, Carolina, islanders, Buffalo were ones he thought would fit. Also said Geno doesn’t have the best locker room reputation and is known as a bit of a headcase so teams would be wary. Apparently Sid does a lot of work to keep him in check. Would likely fetch you a mix of picks and prospects but not a current grade A younger player. He also asked me what was with the Pens questions lol...One of his buddies is a Pens scout and they talk a lot about both their teams. They are already calling around about Phil and Geno'

That's what I got for now...pretty much what I expected to hear. Especially Sid having to manage the man-child...

And that's the for lack of a better term odd thing about his son... this kid walks as often as he strikes out! He seems to have a great ability to spray the ball where ever , but also hits to what the pitch gives him. Smooth swing...geez this could be really, really awesome.
It was BP , but he crushed one off the 3rd floor windows of the hotel in outfield. I have NEVER seen a player do that before. Canseco hit the 2nd floor years back as I recall.

Am I MORE embarrassed now to have lost 4 straight to the Isles? Hmmm....maybe...

all they had to do was play like they actually wanted to win... I'm sure the stuff that sullivan was telling them in between games/periods etc... was not novel to them. I just hope it brings some actual changes. can't do that without removing some of the people involved. to this point it has been the coach to get the ax...
lets see if anything changes.

Better to lose to a team that finished ahead of you than one that finished 30 points behind you just ask Tampa. The strange thing is if Carolina wins the metro they only finished 5 points behind the caps.

I could see buffalo being the most likely in this group. They probably have some young prospects in the system since they have been bad for awhile. I wouldn't be surprised if Florida made the playoffs next year they have a good coach now.I think the panthers failures have been attributed to poor coaching. I think The Islanders are only a sniper are to away from cup contention. Carolina has a good young nucleus probably would'nt want to part with assests to get Geno.

The Sharks have a good team on paper minus Martin Jones. I think they have the talent to win it. They just seem to find away to blow it. If the Caps can do it so can they. maybe this will be the year.

Worst thing for me is that now I have lost a lot of interest in what happens from here on out. As long as Ovechkin and company were playing, I had somebody to root against. I am still glad they lost though.
Ive been watching for over 40 years can't quit now. The avs are still in it so i have someone to hate. Until they are out the ball sweating nights continue for me my friend.

There is speculation That Cocaine James Neal may end up back in Nashville. He has 4 years left on his contract with the Flames as does Turris with the Preds. The dollar value of the remaining contract is similiar. Both teams are unhappy with the current product. Is it possible we see a swapping of the Bums?

I've been watching some. Just not the interest I had before the Caps got bounced. I will actually have more interest in the Eastern Conference finals. I will definitely be rooting for NYI/Canes winner against either B's or CBJ. I am not that interested in Western Conference, but will be glad to pull for Sharks since you hate Avs that much. I was sort of pulling for them anyway. Slightly pulling for Dallas against Blues, but have no clue why.

if you can't into the intensity in the cbj/bos series, just go watch the nba.

Avs have lousey owners for years they gave all types of incentives to try and get people out to watch. Now that they are winning they are doing the old bait and switch. Trying to screw people out of every dime when they are in the pepsi center.

I'm excited to fall asleep in between the 2nd and 3rd periods tonight for this stars/blues game.

f

Damn, you must be a night owl! I don't know if I will make it through the first.

I didn't get home until 8 tonight after a road game this afternoon so I'll make it an extra period. decent game so far.

Wondering how long it'll be before the Jerks run out of players altogether; even if they can find a way to finish off the Isles.....and I think they're just as likely to lose the two games in Raleigh as the Isles did in Brooklyn......how will they survive the next round ???
