Horney was not your trade bait, Malkin/Tanger WERE, and they would have got you the same bag of pucks, WITHOUT albatross contract coming back. I said it last year but nobody wanted to hear it. I would have done full rebuild. Trade Crosby, Malkin, Letang, Guentzel, Zucker, etc. The Penguins would Stock up on draft picks and prospects. Time for a rebuild. It was great run but window is closed. Crosby deserves to finish his career competing for Cups. Trade him to Colorado to play with his friend Nate for 2 1st round picks and a guy like Kadri. Then flip Kadri for more picks.
Time to accept things for what they are, take our lumps, and start competing for Cups again ASAP instead of being mediocre for years and having middle of 1st round draft picks. Be like Detroit, they’ve been shit for long time.

I agree with you mostpart but Sid is not going anywhere.....he is the franchise, he will stay so long as he wants to, and I can agree with that. He is this generations 66....the other parts....well, get what you can but I said that last year.....
I don’t want to trade Sid but I’m sure he’d love to play with his friend Nate unless you want to pry Nate from Colorado. When is his deal up? We have to unload money but we could possibly offer sheet him.
Colorado had a lot of prospects playing at the World Junior Championship.
I thought of them because I wouldn’t want to trade Crosby without doing him a real solid. I think he’d be very happy to finish career with Colorado. Play with his good buddy Nate and should be able to win another Cup or 2.

Nice enough start, but Craps took it away from them......and worse, Wilson got his chance to get back in the game (which all about the Craps NOT playing from behind). DeSmith wasn't significantly better than Jarry.......the Malkin line no-show YTD remains in full effect....and they continue avoiding good shots in favor of low percentage passes.
DeSmith as good in that OT as we ever saw from the great Marc Andre Fleury......
Also, glad to see one of their top scoring wingers finally produce something in the OT.
Be nice if they produced 5-5 or on the power play. Malkin is absolutely awful right now. Apparently, Recchi wasn't the problem with the power play.

It might help if Sully kept his pairing consistent, I've seen him with everyone on the D roster at this point...in saying that, either the skate sharpener needs fired or he suddenly forgot how to skate. Never seen him on his ass so much.
