He was barely a back up at UCLA...he was a back up plan, here, for the one that got away. If he comes in and starts we are in bigger trouble at CB than I thought. We need bodies at CB, so let's hope he can contribute.

Realistically we are looking at a special teams guy and a guy HOPEFULLY that catches on quickly and plays in a nickel or dime situation. This guy was horrible at a wimp program like Soft UCLA a West Coast weakling. He is a California wimp that would have been french toast. Pitts, Bailey will start anyway. Pitts is tough and talented and a state native WV boy.
Hopefully DH and the WVU want to be tough and prove it this year

California has like 50,000,000 population. They should produce something. Per thousand people the ratio of talent is terrible. They produce some players cause of huge total population. If WV had 50,000,000 people we would be a monster talent pool.

WVU doesn’t recruit out west much at all. Never has. WVU needs to do a better job getting the best WV kids plus the border states. Now the border states they do well but no they don’t recruit California. Waste of resources.

The west coast doesn’t care about football period really cause they have too many people out there that are foreigners. They don’t relate to the same things we do in most normal American states. Also they have a huge Asian, Hispanic population that is half of the west coast especially California. Many other non native Americans as well. These folks don’t care about American sports culture.

The Southwest.
Meaning the Southern states west of the Mississippi are the most hardcore college sport fans.
Pro sports are popular on the West Coast and the PNW have some hardcore fans.

The USA is all college except for the high foreign populated west coast and far northeast. They are the only areas into pro sports. The rest of the country is college dominated. The whole south, Midwest, middle America loves college sports way more. Liberal weirdo northeast and plastic liberal west coast are full of foreigners and don’t have great college football. PAC 12 sucks and northeast has no big college football. They don’t have anything but boring pro.

This current recruiting class might signal the end of PAC 12 football as the big schools are stealing every big name recruit in the West.
