This NFL protest thing is getting very confusing.....

I meant Bolivia, sorry. I don't know when this got into a defense of communism, I have said I don't support communism. But I do think Marx was a solid thinker. And capitalism is not above corruption by any means.
You couldn't have said it any better.

Marx was a very intelligent and idealistic "thinker". Like a lot of things, ideas fall a part in practice. Communism in its purest form is likely the greatest form of government. We'll never know though because purity in people is unattainable. We are imperfect. With installation of the first hint of imperfection or compromise of ideal, communism falls off a cliff.

Can't help but shit on the good ole US of A though can you?

I guess you're one of those that would shit on the greatness of Greece or Rome though, huh?

One where the people don't suffer at the hands of a ruling class, government financial systems collapse, ummmmm just to name a few.
Government financial systems could have failed here too, without the help of a little socialism.....in the form of corporate welfare.

I'm not shitting on my nation. I appreciate all that is and has been brought to pass under the Stars and Stripes. No more beautiful government or sentiment in the history of man.

I was just giving Che some credit. As one dreamer admires another. His political ideology was with good intention, but misplaced. His passion I'm sure gave way to ruthlessness, but imagine war sometimes has that effect.

But I'll tell you what dog. In honor of your sacrifices and in honor of my nation, if stating that Che was driven by idealism to become an ignorant monster will show my loyalty and devotion to the US....I will gladly abide. Good intentions lost and twisted. I apologize for the perceived slight on our nation, and I would never kneel.

I admire Greece. I admire many aspects of Rome. I'm trying to learn as much as I can about both.

The two were different people. Had difference of opinion also. Che died in the Congo trying to help people there too, through communist idealism. Che also condemned the USSR as well as the US. I'm saying it's not as simple as you make it.
Che did not die in the Congo......He went to the Congo to start a Communist revolution. The asshole was killed in Bolivia by Bolivian Army special forces that were being advised by Felix Rodriguez an ex-Cuban turned CIA operative.

Sorry I was late on this.....I missed the earlier comments from Dog. Guevara did have the gift of mesmerizing some misguided people....Charles Manson and Adolph Hitler also had it.

For all of you snowflakes boycotting the NFL at the request of trump, the stadiums are full.

Sorry.
Cool story Bro. Let's see what the ratings look like this weekend. Any of the team or players kneel during the anthem?

About the same number as did before Trump opened his mouth in Alabama.

Sunday night ratings will suck. That game is atrocious.

You never did debate the facts in that article. Facts have always been your worst enemy. It is the main reason I have abused you and my abuse clearly bothers you.

I have never pretended to be an engineer. I never said there were no pipelines to transport shale gas. I will never partake in a test that is administered by someone unqualified to challenge me. Why do you lie cuntrytard? My abuse of you has clearly affected you, just look at your list.

What’s the story?

ESPN has changed course and will now televise the national anthem before Monday night’s NFL game between the Washington Redskins and the Kansas City Chiefs, according to The Washington Post. Before Sunday night’s shooting in Las Vegas that left 58 dead and over 500 injured, the network had planned to skip airing the national anthem.

The network will also televise a moment of silence for the victims of Sunday night’s shooting that will take place before the game at Arrowhead Stadium, the Post reported.

Why did ESPN originally plan not to air the national anthem?

Although it has televised the national anthem in previous seasons, the production team made the decision to skip the national anthem before the season began and planned to highlight matchups in this time period instead.

The network has already made two previous exceptions so far this season: Week 1 of Monday Night Football because it fell on Sept. 11, and Week 3 when the NFL national anthem protest controversy made its way back into the national spotlight.

I have no intention of reading this entire thread.......but IMO, this entire discussion has now been moved to the back pages.

Trump wins this one in a landslide......

Guess it's getting hard to find wins....you've got to make them up now? President of the United States gets a "win" on players kneeling before football games? Not any other more important things a man on his position should be focused on changing is there?

He seemed to have a pretty big impact without devoting much time to it.

I assume Trump considers it a win.....I'm simply agreeing with him in this case. But my essential point is that it's a waste of time to continue commenting on it; besides, he's such an easy target on so many other things of true mportance, I can't figure out why folks have spent so much time on this particular issue to begin with.

Other than Twitter, to exactly what does Trump actually "devote much time" ??

Down 1 Million viewers from last weekend and 2.5 Million viewers compared to Week 1.

Monday Night Game Down Bigly

The final numbers are in and the Chiefs’ 29-20 victory over the Washington Redskins snared 11.9 million viewers and a 4.3 rating among adults 18-49.

Which means double-digit falls for MNF in both categories.

Compared to the September 25 Dallas Cowboys vs. Arizona Cardinals game, last night’s MNF was down 16% in the key demo to match a season low. Viewershipwise, the Chiefs’ win saw MNF take a 13% hit from last week.

But the attendance said it was fine? Wonder how that works? If only an intelligent person existed who could explain this?
