(OT) Talk About Off-Topic...

Back on topic...

I like hot fudge sundaes with mixed nuts for a late night snack.

Lost a coworker Friday in a car wreck. The other driver, a 17 year old girl, was reportedly texting and crossed the center line.

Why doesn't texting while driving have similar penalties to DUI ? .....not that it would matter in this case... ...she died too.

Yep.

Plus people in the fast lane get a phone call and suddenly they slow about 20 mph (sometimes referred to as going the speed limit) . ....completely oblivious cars are behind them AND the slow lane is wide open.

Here in Georgia they actually had to pass a law to remind people that the left lane is for faster traffic, even if it is exceeding the speed limit. The amount of people who complained that they weren't speeding but were ticketed anyway for clogging up the left lane was hilarious! I guess the signs saying "Slower traffic keep right" didn't apply to them.

I have never experienced a more backward place than Georgia, or a more corrupt government. I used to take a lot of crap from people when they would find out I was from WV; then I started pointing out the stupid stuff that goes on in GA. They shut up pretty quick.

Instead of evaluating teachers we should just keep throwing more money toward education.

.....which is the EXACT opposite of what countries that educate better than America do...

Greetings from River Street Tavern in beautiful downtown Ellijay, GA! Hotter than blue blazes so I am having a cold one. Sweet little mountain town that reminds me of Thomas, WV.

It is a three rivers city; the Ellijay River and the Cartecay River meet in town to form the Coosawattee River, the inspiration for James Dickey's "Deliverance".

Happy Independence Day to all Mountaineers everywhere. Please remember, it is the brave that make this the land of the free. I hoist this cold one in their honor.

Hey, grammar police! It's THERE, not their. Surprised no one point this out. [banana]

Georgiaboy.....................the mans could actually mean it when he say.................THEIR. Think about it and remember that ................ a mind is a dangerous thing! :boxing:

I'm completely rethinking my loyalty to Miracle Whip. It was my go to mayo (even though it's actually salad dressing) for everything from tuna to tomato sandwiches... ...but earlier today I had an absolutely awesome turkey club and was told that it was topped with Helman's.

Is it possible that my brand loyalty (passed down from my mother) has led me to eat inferior sandwiches for a half-century ? Is it sandwich specific which mayo (or salad dressing) is used... ...and how many wasted test sandwiches before I know for sure?

It's such a complicated world.....

Mayo - roast beef ,tuna , Hamburger (I wouldn't) , tomato , blt , chicken salad

MW - cheese , bologna , chicken , turkey , egg salad

This should help narrow it down. Hellmans only for mayo.

I'm impressed. Wish I had it down to a science.

...but there's a huge flaw... ...cheese. It's on your MW list but also is commonly found on every item in your mayo list.

I do MW on cheese only or pimiento spread. I personally don't use mayo on roast beef or burgers but some people do. Roast beef is really nice with mustard and horseradish and I like M/O and lee & perrins steak sauce on a properly rare burger. No cheese. And now Im hungry.

They got this mayo down here called Dukes. It's got a very different taste and definitely an acquired one. Not really sure how to describe it as I haven't really cozied up to it. My wife uses it for certain recipes, but I like Hellman's for my straight mayo purposes.

Lived in SC for 3 years. Dukes is great for baked artichoke dip. It's a little more tart than "northern" Mayo. Can't get it up here at all.

Dammit, now I'm hungry too.

Amazon has it. ...free shipping for Prime members.

Often these type of items have crazy prices but they look reasonable for this one.

Women look more attractive without hats. Sure, some of us can pull the look off but it's just not sexy.

I think it depends as much on the hat as the woman wearing it. Remember those sisters of Kate Middleton at her wedding to Prince William? They had some wild ass hats. One of the sisters looked great the other one not so much. I'm sure the not so much one is an attractive woman, but the hat killed it.

Any of the guys here like pedicures? I'm sure the posters who claim to be women enjoy them, but I gotta tell ya, my wife got me to get one a few years back and I am hooked on them.

Talk all you want about "manhood" or whatever, but the real test is to set aside convention and try something new. I think that if you try it, you'll like it. Dadgum, it's awesome! I'm getting one right now.

A finger that has been properly pedicured slips into the nose holes so much smoother. I wring my nose out daily but always make sure my pedicure is proper.

Is Yann's still open in Fairmont ?? That shack is pretty much the only decent thing in the city...but Roger's dogs at the the KP back in the day were awesome too.

Hitler had 8 serious relationships. Each of those women attempted suicide at least once.

As long as you shut the power off at the box, there shouldn't be a the thing to worry about. Get a continuity checker to check the socket to be double safe and have at it.

A half a tater will get a broken bulb out of a socket. Shut the power off, stick the tater firmly on the broken bulb, and turn carefully. It should come out with no problem.

Is there nothing a tater can't fix?

You can also just screw another light bulb in which will catch the foot of the broken bulb. Then you just unscrew it and they both come out.

Really hope someone took that punk to the woodshed. Nothing worse than seeing some bully targeting the weakest kid he can find. Props to kid for trying to defend himself.

1) I hate all things Pokemon
2) Kudos to whoever came up with this though. This one idea took a mostly irrelevant franchise and made it almost cool to be involved in. I would emphasize the word "almost" in that sentence. That dude/chick is bankin' right now.
