GAME THREAD Guaranteed Rate Bowl: West Virginia football vs. Minnesota

Minnesota had 358 yards compared to WVU’s Leddie Brown-less 206 including SIX total yards in the first quarter.
WVU had 66 rushing yards, about half what Leddie averaged for the season.
WVU offensive line couldn’t stop coeds and grandmothers from sacking the QB. Doege has a minus 22 yards. He compounds the problem, as he has all season, by hanging onto the ball too long, helping the sackmeisters do their job.
WVU defense faced a short field most of the game, thanks to the inept WVU offense. But key turnovers blunted what would have been a rout.
WVU punts 7 times to Minnesota’s 3. Just couldn’t get anything going.
And the idiots who kept the roof open during a rainstorm so that pre-game spectacular could take center stage! Players keep slipping through the game, risking series injuries. Close the damn roof! Put players over showmanship!
In 3 seasons, Coach Neal Brown has gone 5-7, 6-4 and 6-7. That’s 17-18, not even 50% winning percentage.
Dana Holgersen was 21-17 in his first 3 seasons, Bill Stewart 28-12, Rich Rodriguez 20-18, Don Nehlen 24-12.
You have to go back to Frank Cignetti, who was 12-21, to find a WVU coach was a worst 3-season start for the Mountaineers. And Cignetti was in the 1970s, FIFTY YEARS AGO! So Neal Brown has the worst 3-year start in a HALF-CENTURY. How can anyone defend THAT?
Bobby Bowden was 23-11 for his first 3 seasons at WVU. Jim Carlen was 15-12-3. That makies Neal Brown the 2nd-worst 3-season WVU season in SIXTY YEARS.
Let the excuses tsunami begin! Yeah, Buttheads, step forward!

FAKE NEWS above. Leddie Brown averaged 89 rushing yards per game, which isn't close to twice as many as WVU's team rushing total last night. Moreover, you're comparing apples to oranges because WVU's total of 66 yards rushing includes Doege's -22 yards rushing and Green's -3 yards rushing. WVU's running backs combined to rush for 91 yards on 18 carries, or slightly more than 5 yards/tote, which was higher than Brown's average of 4.8 yards rushing per game. If you were awake, then you saw that the running backs filled in nicely for Brown, other than a blown blocking assignment or two. BTW, Minnesota's best player, All-B1G running back Mohamed Ibrahim, also didn't play last night, due to a season-ending injury sustained late in the Gophers' first game of the season.

So doofus...you think this year's bowl game and Kneel's three years have been good for the program? Get out of your basement and explore reality. What a tool you've become Biden boy.
Where did I claim this years bowl game was good? Get off your fat ass quit using TVZ type profiles and get some fresh air you pussy.

Is there a reason you post such stupid shit? Doege so stiff he would be sacked by a pee wee team. He has the brains of rootmaster. You know an empty soft shell.

Nobody gives a shit what happened in the past. This is the here and now dumbass.

The blame is 100% on the quarterback play. Every announcer this year at one point said that he holds onto the ball way too long. The same thing was said last year. The guy could not beat a bunch of cadets and we would have lost to Tennessee if it wasn’t for Covid.

He hunkered down with 1:45 to go in 1st half when no one was touching him looking to go down. He missed a wide open Leddie Brown for a win this year, threw the ball out of bounds on purpose on the last play of the game against Texas Tech, constantly makes stupid loser decisions in games costing the team and yet this bum of a coach keeps him in the game and wasted a season.

Rich, Bill, Dana, Don all were all different individuals, however they were also coaches and had to make difficult decisions that were better for the team. This is something Brown has not done since a gimme bowl last year. Doege was done last year!
Bill Stewart would have benched him in a heartbeat, but not good ol Neal.

So your lack of attention to the question must mean you truly believe in Kneel as HC. How does Kamala feel about that Joe? For someone who spends 24/7 on this forum your lack of football intelligence is astounding.

You have no balls and no mind. Your false stories are becoming annoying and no longer funny. Get a new routine.

Right now, the BEST option is to blow up the staff. First out the door would be the Louisa Losers (Parker and Wright) and the Oline coach. Another losing season next year means that Gee will have to step in and fire both he and Lyons. The contract extension was both needless and unwarranted. That is ALL on Lyons.
I think our DB's have been fairly good. Not sure I agree with letting Wright go. Parker has been HORRIBLE.

I generally think some are too hard on HCNB, but if our QB play in 2022 is still not any better than it's a big negative on him. It's a very important position and you just can't go four years with no better quality than we've seen.

If we had unexpected transfers out of good QBs or injuries of good QBs then it would be another story, but we haven't had those. In 2022 we'll have 24 year old Doege, 3rd year Greene, 2nd year Crowder, 1st year Nicco and UMass transfer Matt Cavallaro. If none of those are better than what we've had this year then that will be four years of mediocre QB play (overall I mean...Doege has had some good games), without injuries or big name transfers. We just can't have that at this level.

If any of the non-Doege QBs are close to as good as Doege in 2022 then I say play the non-Doege QB with the idea of us then having an experienced QB ready for 2023.

Year 3, 6-7.

Kneel doesn't care about winning. He only cares about politics. He used WVU to advance his far-left agenda.

So now besides being a blowhard faker you reveal yourself as virulently anti gay. Interesting.
