RIVALS Did West Virginia’s win over Pitt save Neal Brown’s job?

He has to beat "Holgy Bear," too, or the fan base will run him out of Morgantown.

No. It saved it perhaps for this season, but a lot of football left to play. Can’t waste it by laying an egg Saturday at home against a team he hasn’t beaten.

Not at all. A buyout in his contract did. Its the only reason he wasnt fired last season. Neal Brown wasnt retained because he earned it. We just got stuck with him

He will need to win 8 or more for 2 years in a row before his seat cools enough to stay on. At least that's my opinion.

His seat will never cool with the fair weather and pretend fans. And unfortunately, there are way more of those that constantly play Monday morning QB even after beating the top rival than true fans. If he wins before he gets fired, he will leave to greener pastures and this cycle will continue.

If he leaves because he is winning that's perfectly fine with me.

Nope. His seat will never cool because he is so obviously in over his head. Aren't you the guy who said you would rather wvu go 0-12 than hire rich rod? Imo wvu could do without pretend fans who would wish 0-12 on them because of personal emotional reasons.

Let’s hope not. Pitt stinks. And TT isn’t much better, especially when it has to play its backup QB. We’re still not good in Year 5.
