I had a horrible realization..

We could have a very average season and still be in the B12 champ game. I know that sounds like a positive. But with how everyone is beating everyone else it looks like a multi- loss team will be in the game. If the league is down and we in that game with less than the standard we all really want, could we ever get rid of Brown after the school gives him a 1000 year extension? Hmm

Home grown talent passing thru Morgantown

Vernon’s post about Steve Dunlap’s record(s) got me thinking about all the homegrown talent we’ve had go thru Morgantown, and more specifically, some of the talent coming from certain towns in this great state.

With that in mind, I thought I’d start a thread listing some of the players that stayed home and went to Morgantown. This list isn’t so much comparing one town to another, but more of a celebration of so many players wearing the Mountaineer uniform coming from somewhere within the Country Roads neighborhood. I’ll start with these guys coming from Hurricane…

Steve Lewis
Steve Dunlap
Doc Holliday
Graeson Malashevich
Michael Williams
and I’m hoping the Dues kid makes some noise… we’ll see.

@chappy3 , @mtlion , lemme know who I mighta left out.

I goofed up… Grayson’s Dad Billy was a multi positional player for Hurricane that played with Mike Williams; the youngster played at Spring Valley.

GJ Kinne

Before Neal won 9 last year I was talking to a buddy about potential coaches and he says to me “You know Wren is dying to bring in some Texas air raid doosh” 😂😂

**GJ Kinne enters chat**

Wren and GJ are kindred spirits with their affinity for limited edition Air Jordan’s/Travis Scott dunks and Texas/Oklahoma roots.

Technically, GJ Kinne isn’t an air raid guy, it’s more of air raid mixed with Malzahn, chip kelly stuff, they call it Spread N Shred.

The Pros: dude absolutely can run an offense and put up points. We will always have a competent quarterback play. He won early at Texas State, a place that doesn’t win a lot.

The Cons: Very very little experience and if he won early he probably wouldn’t stay long. He is very much a texas dude.

I never had a problem with Dana’s system, I had a problem with Dana the coach or lack there of. There would definitely be growing pains with Kinne but the risk/reward is sky high. I guess his dad is some big Texas HS coach? Also would have to wonder if any other programs try to swoop in on him. He is very interesting and one would think donors would have a renewed interest in this guy. Checks a ton of boxes for Wren.

We’re sitting at 2-2

If our record remained the same, but our win and loss against Kansas and Pitt were flipped, how would we feel during this off week? It sucks that we lost to Pitt, as it is a game we should have won, but had we won that and lost to Kansas I think this week off would be rough. We at least went into the bye week with a win, so even though we don’t feel great about the season so far we’re possibly heading in the right direction. Had we lost to Kansas it would be miserable around here.

My optimistic view of the next few games is that we get our running game going, GG gets his swagger back, and we get a couple of big wins as we start October.

The realist in me says get ready for a rough month.

Another Media Far Left Liberal Nutjob

Mother Jones editor-in-chief Clara Jeffery publicly complained about a flight attendant wishing her and other passengers a "blessed" night at the end of a recent flight.

Jeffery ridiculed the flight attendant in a recent X post, saying her sendoff was evidence of "creeping Christian nationalism" in the country and pointing out all the other less Christian adjectives she could have used.

The Mother Jones journalist went after the flight attendant on the social media platform Friday night, writing, "Creeping Christian nationalism alert: @AlaskaAir flight attendant just wished us a ‘blessed’ night as we landed in SFO (!) to groans. Other adjectives that would have sufficed: great, awesome, fabulous, amazing, fantastic…"

She added, "As my rowmate said, ‘this ain’t Montgomery, sweetie.’"
