You mean start the week off with a win?Let’s finish this great week off with a win!!
I’ve always thought of Sunday as last day of the week..You mean start the week off with a win?
Another game, another second-half collapse.
Win or lose, it's pathetic how this is never mentioned by the state media.
Whistling past the graveyard.7-0 quit your bitching trolls. Gotta give that Fatt kid his just dues. He's good.
Huggins even used his post-game with Tony to whine about the guys not having any pop since they were coming off a long trip. Ok, that might work if they came out flat but clearly that wasn't the case. They came out amped up, with the early turnovers to prove it. Not to mention the 50% shooting and double-digit halftime lead.Tony and the crew on 3 guys before the game will never speak about that, yet Hoppy was always happy to express his displeasure about Dana Holgorsen.
Ok, why doesn't he? He walks on water according to some. That should be enough to get a top 15 class occasionally...never happens. Why not?
There is a lot of basketball talent within a 200-mile radius. And before you say Duke has its name to attract players (and it does buy them now, for sure), it wasn't a brand before Coach K.
Why can't WVU be a destination for top-tier talent?
Tell me about it.Cottrell had 30 offers, that not enough?
Good grief the ignorance of the free board is amazing
I'm willing to grant Duke and Coach K a bit more leeway given the frequent national and conference championships, Elite Eights and Final Fours, countless 30 win seasons, and top ten draft picks.
That you're even referencing Duke's 2nd half choke job doesn't really support your argument. You and others will cite that loss to defend WVU inevitable collapses this season because it will stand out. Because it rarely happens. It's hard for us to quickly point to a particular 2nd half collapse because it happens so damn often. That's the problem.

What's wrong with players like McBride coming in and playing like a top recruit? Oscar? Culver? You hate it when Huggs wins because you don't have your boyfriends on here rooting you on because they are all in hiding.
Think back to when WVU hired Duke assistant coach Bucky Waters as our head coach. His reputation was No.1 recruiter in the country. At WVU, he survived on junior college players with no "big-name" stars like he brought to Duke. My biggest fear about losing Neal Brown is that he will realize he can't compete with the Ohio States, Penn States and Tennessees.Ok, why doesn't he? He walks on water according to some. McBride plays like a top recruit?? Can only dribble with one hand gets beat, with separation, after ONE dribble, every single possession, the offense is lost with him in charge and give up 50 in a half because his man is embarrassing him repeatedly. Thsts not a top recruit. Oscar, who gets pulled for farting or sneezing, plays like a top recruit. McBride, if held to the same standards as other guards, doesnt pass 8 minutes played In this game. He was horrific and out of his league
Yeah I'm stupid. 6-12 and he won the game by himself. 5-17 since and including that game 11 for 29 last 3 games. There is zero offensive flow when he is in, our defensive efficiency plummets, one dribble that's it he is 3 feet behind and our defense is broken down recovering for him. Watch the game. Watch the second half alone last nigj6, you think that one handed point guard that is shooting 30 percent and not even defending for 3 seconds is going to make us a big 12 contender you're the one that is stupid. Watch the tape, if you dont see it you're brain dead. He plays 22 minutes a night in the big 12 at this level and forget about 5th place predictions. A good coach and PG will do what Rhode island did last night, expose him repeatedly. His counterpart almost scored 50 and we couldnt stop them in the second half because Huggs insisted on him playing the whole half and being used and abused repeatedly at both ends. Poor team that he won the game all by himself with 5 short jumpers, maybe they were down so much because of his 1-7 start and poor defense?
Rhode Island is a much better team than anyone thought. Butt without Fatts that team dies.
