State Police investigating threats made against Susquenita School District; schools closed today​

All schools and offices in the Susquenita School District are closed today while Pennsylvania State Police investigate two threatening social media posts.
 


AUSTIN (KXAN) — A Westlake High School student was arrested Sunday after the student was accused of making threats against the school, according to a letter from Eanes Independent School District Superintendent Dr. Jeff Arnett.

Mountain Home Public Schools superintendent Allyson Dewey released the following statement early Monday morning.

Students leave school early after online shooting threats target 4 Central Alabama high schools
 

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The Berkeley County School District on Tuesday said they were continuing to work with law enforcement to investigate anonymous posts circulating on social media concerning campus safety.
 


Threats were made against schools in Cleveland, Gaston and Lincoln counties, officials said. It's unclear if a suspect has been identified.
 

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Lee’s Summit Superintendent Dr. David Buck released a statement Tuesday morning confirming that a student has been taken into custody after threatening a district middle school on social media.

In a letter to students, family and staff, Buck said the student had made a “vague social media threat” on TikTok toward East Trails Middle School on Monday, causing local law enforcement at the FBI to get involved.
 

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Knox County Schools said it is taking safety measures after multiple schools were named in a social media post that listed a "hit list" of schools.

MARSHALL CO., Ala. (WAFF) - Two schools in the Tennessee Valley are on heightened alert after officials were notified about threats made towards the school.

Marshall County​

In Marshall County, Boaz City Schools is on high alert until further notice. School officials announced on Tuesday they were made aware the threats weren’t credible but will stay on heightened awareness as a precaution.

They didn’t go into detail about the threat.

In Albertville, school officials said they received notice of a social media threat on Tuesday. The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office was alerted and deputies began an investigation.
 


LUBBOCK, Texas — High schools in every major district in the Lubbock metro area received additional threats of violence on Tuesday morning. Officials said the threats were not credible, and the all-clear was given for students to return to their classes.

Tuesday was the second day in a row of threats being reported at some schools in the area

PERMIAN BASIN (KMID/KPEJ)- UPDATE: Ector County ISD provided an update on social media threats aimed at schools that began making the rounds on social medial late last week.
Here’s what a district spokesperson said about the investigation:
We want to update you on the social media threat that included a list of our ECISD schools as targets. The FBI has tracked the message to another region of the United States and thinks the original threat message may even have originated outside of the country. It is making the rounds on social media in El Paso today. Law enforcement does not consider it to be a credible threat toward schools in West Texas. The investigation is ongoing and criminal charges will be pursued,
 


CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Multiple Charlotte-area schools were on alert Tuesday amid a rise in unsubstantiated school threats and two children were arrested.

A list naming schools in Cleveland, Gaston, Lincoln and Mecklenburg counties was circulated around social media the night of Monday, Sept. 9 and into Tuesday morning. The message reportedly included threats of gun violence.

The threats appeared to show pictures of guns with a list of targeted schools, officials said.

Law enforcement said they had not yet found a credible threat, but officer presence at the schools was increased across the areas on Tuesday.

HARVEST, Ala. (WHNT) — The Madison County School System said Sparkman High School was one of multiple schools that received a threat Tuesday morning.
The Madison County School System sent an email to parents Tuesday morning after receiving word about a threat to Sparkman High School.
 
It's a pysop to drive fear, influence elections, and wear down resources. Some are coming from unknown sources and others because the children are taking to people online influencing them.
