Wacky experience for you on SAT, t.......of course, it's not against the law at least in Pittsburgh) for retards to buy playoff hockey tickets.
Regardless, glad you and the Missus at least had a pleasant time in the city, even if the game proved to be some distance less than satisfying. I honestly wish you had informed the scumbag(s) that you were watching Staals in person before they.....or anyone in the building that day.....or anyone in the Garden tomorrow night.....had even ever heard of the family. Oh, and also that you leave more knowledge of the game in the commode after you sit down than they've nursed in their pea brains over their entire pathetic lives.
Back to the series; I've finally reconciled that for as badly as the NYR were thought to have tattooed the Pens, the entire game came down to that miserable 5 minutes in the 2nd period. Of course, those count every bit as much as the other 55; but eliiminate them......which I honestly think can be done.....and that's an entirely different game.
As was widely reported in Saturday's aftermath, the Pens need to quit trying to beat that Rangers' defensive conga line at their own blue line (especially when they have the lead) and start dumping and chasing and.....with Hagelin and Kessel and Rust and Sheary......win the races to the puck versus the admittedly strong skating Rangers. And just as how Kreider and Klein (and that pain in the ass Fast) threw around their weight in Game 2, Horny and Kunitz (and maybe Bonino, Cullen, and Fehr.....or Big Geno, for that matter) need to park their asses in the Rangers crease and make King Henrik's life miserable.
If they start skating again and get Lundqvist pissed off.......and we all know he's as easy to PO as any goaltender in the business (and especially when he allows a cheapie)......this series can turn around toots sweet. BTW, my opinion doesn't mean anything, but I myself definitely think Zatkoff will start tomorrow night. Meanwhile, Pens website reported that Murray was back on the ice and practicing, though it doesn't sound as though his return to the lineup is being discussed at this time.
Finally, it sounds like Maatta will be scratched tomorrow night; Lord knows he played on Saturday like he was hurting. I'm sort of assuming......perhaps mistakenly.....that he was rushed back to the lineup after the previous injury. In any event, DK is reporting the D-pairings are expected to be Daley-Letang, Dumoulin-Lovejoy, and Cole-Schultz.
BTW, changing the subject for a second, did you happen to see Ryan White plant Brooks Orpik into the boards in tonight's Craps/Cryers game ?? Orpik was about as far down Queer Street as I've seen any NHL'er for awhile.....and it really wasn't even an exceptionally severe hit. Given his concussion history, I suspect there's a decent chance Orpik has played his last minutes of this year's playoffs.
Back in Michigan this week, and keeping fingers and toes crossed my hotel tomorrow night in Grand Rapids has NBCSN (as was the case when I was in suburban Detroit last THU night).
