Maybe the Big 12 is not dead yet

Hopefully she isn’t talking about one of your kids😭
Either she is acting or some of these teachers are a little out there

Regarding the rest. We will find out. Too much time being wasted talking about it

The Power Five conferences are five athletic conferences which are considered to be the elite in college football in the United States. They are part of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of NCAA Division I, the highest level of collegiate football in the nation.

Group of 5 are the American Athletic Conference (American), Conference USA (C-USA), Mid-American Conference (MAC), Mountain West Conference (MW), and Sun Belt Conference (Sun Belt).
It is because they have A5 status.

Not a single school is leaving the SEC
A&M could have left. According to SEC bylaws a school can be removed by the conference. A&M didn’t want that to happen so they voted yes.
Schools didn’t leave because of Texas.
That is what happens when you listen to idiots on a message board.
A&M wanted to be the only SEC team in Texas. They don’t have many t shirt fans but their t shirts fans are mainly Huntsville, Lufkin, Jasper across the Sabine into Louisiana. They feel at home with the SEC schools.
About $$$$$$$. End of the day these decisions are based around money.

We will see what happens with the PAC 12
Colorado could return back with new friends. But that would mean WVU has to travel out West at least once a year
No way any P5 school leaves their current conference to come to the P12. Leave a solid conference to one that has a good chance of dissolving? Leave a conference for one that will pay much less per school?

B12's path is to add at minimum 4 teams immediately (would like to see 6 or even 8). This gives the conference inventory to sell to the highest bidder. Pit ESPiN against FOX, ABC and NBC.

School size and population proximity do not necessarily create viewership. Did you see the actual number of viewers for those teams from last bowl season?

Dec 30, 2020 WVU vs Army 3.74 million viewers ESPN
Dec 29, 2020 Ok St vs Miami 3.2 million ESPN
Dec 29, 2020 Col VS UT 2.98 million ESPN
Jan 2, 2021 UK vs NC State 2.71 million ESPN
Dec 24, 2020 Haw vs Houston 1.9 million ESPN
Dec 19, 2020 Cin vs Tulsa 1.88 million ABC
Dec 22, 2020 UCF vs BYU 1.55 million ESPN
Dec 22, 2020 Mem VS FAU 1.27 million ESPN

Market size is only a part of the viewership equation. Military Academies bring much more than just their graduates. It's the whole arm of the military. BYU brings a lot of their congregation nationwide. Same with Domers. Miami is a very small school. WV has only 1.8M in the state. Much of it is the brand and how that brand performs over time.

There are some teams that may bring more to the table, but aren't aligned with the rest of the B12. BYU is one. Scheduling problems are the biggest hurdle. Boise is another Mtn time zone problem. There are way too many good options in the East to fracture the conference for one or two teams out west.

In any case leaving the P12 at 8 may give those teams a little more individual payout at this time. But come TV negotiating time more inventory with teams in bigger markets with bigger followings and decent brand identification will keep the networks in touch and give the B12 the best chance of making more money.

And more teams mean more teams for bowl games even though they may be the lower tier games. It's still money.

Staying at 8 is a death wish. Going back to 10 only is just delaying that death. Need to get to minimum 12 and IMO higher.

There are many factors that contribute to bowl ratings. It could be time of day. The day of the week etc etc. Army is a service academy and service academies have a national following not to the extent of the Notre dames but there is a following to some extent. The real problem for wvu and the other remaining members is that once Oklahoma and Texas are gone there will be a large amount of eyeballs that will no longer be tuning in. Fans tend to watch their own team and teams from within there conference. How many K State vs Okie state games did you watch while Wvu was a big east member? That's it in a nutshell.
This is correct. So adding more teams adds to the fan base of every team in the conference. The small fan base of a USF or UAB would add eyeballs to every other B12 conference game. I watched non WVU B12 matchups over most any ACC, B1G, SEC and especially P12 game. Even if there was a great B1G matchup, I'd flip back to the B12 game for the most part.

No team being mentioned has anywhere near the viewership of OK State (1.64million) TCU (1.495 million) WVU (1.27 million) or Baylor (1.12 million). Of all the candidates for expansion BYU has the highest viewership (714K) and Houston (689K). Both include P5 teams in their schedules.

Except when Army plays Navy, the service academies numbers are surprisingly low. Navy averages 1.01 million viewers but that is very skewed by the 7 million viewers who watch the Army vs Navy game and the annual game against Notre Dame. Army averages 825K which is mostly the Army vs Navy game.

Everyone's numbers would increase by joining a higher ranked conference or simply playing prominent P5 teams. WVU's numbers would certainly increase by playing former rivals again and those 1.27 million viewers would suddenly be watching on the ACC Network.

Every team you add also has to be paid.

That was before the PAC 12 decided to stick together
There was questions about some schools leaving for the B1G
But as of now none of those schools are leaving. They are heading for a cliff. We will see if any jump out
It would be USC to the B1G first. #1 domino

Another thing that should be "locked up somewhere and lost" is her contract.
Let her giggle on that....
That is actually called a political ad
Doesn’t come off overtly as one but it is one for the recall election in California

Mayhe she is acting. Have no idea now on social media.
She actually is from a fairly conservative part of Orange County

They want to be able to fire teachers….
Truthfully think they should be looking to increase the pay for teachers and stop just taking Cal St Fullerton grads who took the lazy way out and took a bunch of humanities and social sciences.

Goes back to the contract…Teachers Unions are strong in some states
Have to pretty much punch a student to get fired even though you are riding off the government coattails…
A lot of these college students end up doing. Take a bunch of bullshit courses and then get their teaching credentials
