why is there any question about the way things went down?
how is there not video footage of the whole thing?

I don't know about better.
Not socially. After learning how to read and basic arithmetic skills, school is predominantly development of social skills. It's not for everyone, but the statistics say it is better.
so day care? Not socially. After learning how to read and basic arithmetic skills, school is predominantly development of social skills.

We send money all over the world to protect other people. We have the money to protect our kids . We already pay enough in taxes to do what we need to do . Need to vote America first politicians. Hell how much do we send to the middle east for women's rights? How much in the last 8 years have Congress given to other countries to help them in social issues alone? And you want to raise our taxes ... good grief.Who is going to pay for it? The US has approximately 140,000 schools. I'm all for taxing firearms and ammunition sales to pay for it, but even that won't raise nearly the money needed for this.
I'm a firm believer in smaller community schools.imo best thing we can do is much smaller schools houses with 3-4 teachers and a local 30-40 kids of all ages
ideally, teachers group together and start their own "school houses" and parents can choose which teachers they want to send their kids to. This also reward good educators by letting them charge free market prices so they can make more than $30-40k a year.
We have to get back to building communities and taking care of those around us instead of letting government steal from us and give people the excuse to off load those responsibilities.
Of course the homeschool association is going to say that. I wouldn't expect them to say anything negative. I bet the SEC says its schools don't cheat too. That's arguable. Of course the homeschool association states that kids come out better socially after homeschooling. Private and charter schools allow homeschooled kids to participate in athletic and afterschool programs. Those kids I coached that were homeschooled were in most cases better adjusted than their private and charter school peers.
If we need to fund projects to keep children safe from people with firearms in our schools, it only makes sense to tax things associated with firearms so the people can still enjoy their second amendment rights. No different than a gas tax where the money goes back into the roadway system. If I don't like it, I can take the bus.We send money all over the world to protect other people. I remind you, an Amish community school got shot up just a few years ago. Smaller schools won't prevent this.I'm a firm believer in smaller community schools.
In big schools kids get lost in the crowd. Then predators get their hooks in them .
It's not up to teachers to raise our kids, but fewer kids in a class room would help them recognize a problem.
Nothing can fully prevent it .I remind you, an Amish community school got shot up just a few years ago. Smaller schools won't prevent this.
Still missing it . Guns did not cause this . We have the money to build schools as secure as the white house if we didnt send our money all over the world .If we need to fund projects to keep children safe from people with firearms in our schools, it only makes sense to tax things associated with firearms so the people can still enjoy their second amendment rights. I believe we had better school systems when they was smaller & I'd bet statistics would prove it .
This elementary school in Texas is small in comparison to most. Barely 600 kids, right? That's not large.Nothing can fully prevent it .

Those 19 dead folks didn't die from strangulation.Still missing it . Guns did not cause this . We have the money to build schools as secure as the white house if we didnt send our money all over the world .
Here are the facts:I agree you could get a better education in a smaller classroom. However you are creating more targets and spreading resources that you need to defend them. Something to consider.
Yeah I have a feeling the press is "piling on" right now. The dude likely had done about as much damage as he could in that room and likely in the first few minutes. If they essentially pinned him down and kept him from moving out to other rooms then they did their job until they took him out.Defund the Police. I have already pointed out departments are hiring the wrong kind of people to do this job. I don't want to get into tactics because I don't want to train other idiots to be more successful in this kind of shit. The story will change numerous times as more facts are confirmed. It would take a tactical team that has trained together for awhile to handle a situation like this flawlessly. He was isolated to one room. Imagine he killed the officers who had him pinned down and was able to move to other rooms.
Yeah that gun woke up & decided to shoot them ......please.Those 19 dead folks didn't die from strangulation.
True. But your solution of making schools smaller, or others arguments about taking kids out of public schools, or arming teachers, or more school resource officers, or focus on "mental health", or blaming music, etc., are the same as those that want to blame guns and pass legislation.Yeah that gun woke up & decided to shoot them ......please.
Show me the gun that kills on it's own. Right , you cant people kill .
Spoons dont make people fat .

in that scenario..lives are measured in tenths of seconds...not seconds or minutesTactical you are getting it. Don't want to get too much into it for obvious reasons. It's easy for those who have never been shot at to say what they would have done different. Doesn't mean they couldn't have done better. Lack of training and proper equipment could have contributed. Lots of variables and people being critical of something they have never experienced. Mostly based on emotions. I understand those emotions but also understand how emotional decisions could have made it even worse.

No, the gun did exactly what it was designed to do.Yeah that gun woke up & decided to shoot them ......please.

But also liberals:No, the gun did exactly what it was designed to do.
If the idiot was armed with a knife, more people would be alive. I'm not saying guns are the sole reason they are dead but it played a role without a doubt.
Denying that is just dishonest.

On the other hand most violent crime is committed by the lower income earners. So it would hurt their ability to purchase the firearms just as much as the law-abiding poor citizens.Except taxes like that end up hurting lower income individuals more. The same individuals that would have more reliance on firearms and ammunition.
Would not take much to fund projects to keep children safer, just takes actual determination and action.

Adding just 1 police/security officer at an annual salary of $60K to every public school in the country costs roughly $8.4 billion each year.
Then don't complain about Biden's spending. Most already have a police or security office at schools. But even at $8.4 billion a year. That's a drop in the bucket.
Then don't complain about Biden's spending.
Right. Government is just magically going to stop stupid spending. I'd love to be in your dream world where that occurs, but it will never happen. Raise the revenue by taxing firearms and ammunition sales to help offset the cost. That's found money and you get to keep your weapons with no new restrictions. Win/Win.See gunny's response.
