WVU-Pitt should be an annual game.

Let's discuss when it should be.

Not at the end of the season because those are often on the holidays and the students can't attend.

Not in Game 1 because Game 1 is Game 1 and you're just getting warmed up. Game 1 is for a 'bunny' opponent, as Syzygy used to say. Whatever happened to that guy?

I say WVU-Pitt should be Game 2 or Game 3, after you're warmed up but before league play starts.

It is so obvious to me that having WVU-Pitt be annual is the right thing for both schools. Am I the only one that feels this way?

WVSPORTS.COM Neal Brown Backyard Brawl postgame press conference summary

-- Brown wants to thank everyone for being here and give credit to the crowd. He said they made a difference and were there the entire way through. The players fed off the energy. They had bad things happen, lose your starting quarterback, your leader and energizer. Defensive players especially fed off of the crowd. It's a huge team win for Brown and they call it a Brawl for a reason, there was no beauty in this win for WVU. Brown has lots of respect for Narduzzi and their program and last year's game has stuck with them. The best players being on both fronts and being tough has allowed them to develop into this. The game was ugly, but Brown is proud of his players and staff. Brown says the University, state of West Virginia and athletic department needed this win. He thinks Country Roads after a win is the best tradition in college football. It wasn't pretty offensively, but they grinded out. Brown wants to credit Nicco Marchiol for his performance and the reduced play sheet that Brown used worked for him tonight, and it was important that Marchiol didn't "lose" the game for them. Pittsburgh struggled the entire game after the first drive and he's happy for the defensive group and secondary group to force three interceptions.

-- Brown didn't panic on the first drive because they held them to a field goal. Brown thinks two other stops were crucial.

-- BRown says Trey Lathan has gotten better and he's really athletic, exactly what they're looking for. He has a bright future and good story.

-- No update on Garrett Greene or CJ Donaldson, Greene couldn't put much weight on foot and was in a boot and wanted to go back in but they chose to leave him out. Donaldson was scared by his injury because of his recovery last season but Brown thinks he'll be fine.

-- Donaldson ran the ball as well as Brown has seen him run today.

-- Marchiol had two mistakes, not motioning a man in the wrong personeel and the fumble. Brown says he managed the game well and his run on third down was a huge play. Made some nice RPO throws and made some good passes without a lot of reps throughout the week. If he's the guy due to injury, he'll perform better next week with a full week of practice.

-- Once Brown got a feel of what the game was going to be, so he needed to adjust as a play caller and look at his notes. Brown says Pitt played 4-3 when they weren't expecting that and that's not who they are.

-- Cincinnati and WVU's defenses are similar, but WVU wanted to pressure and make it tough on the QB. People will blame it on him, but there's a lot of stuff going on. Stuff they worked on Duquesne week came out here and worked well.

-- Brown thinks WVU was energized early in the game and that caused them to overshoot some gaps. Once they settled into gap integrity, they were better at stopping the run and were disciplined with their eyes.

-- Having your defense being the one to close out a game creates confidence in a good football team.

Texas AG @KenPaxtonTX has been FULLY ACQUITTED on all 16 impeachment charges

The strongest, bravest, and best attorney general in the United States was benched by the regime. Loyal Trump adviser Stephen Miller just published a post arguing that a Republican Attorney General could indict Biden and Mayorkas for human trafficking. While he may be correct, as many have noted, the one individual with the courage to take such action, Texas AG Ken Paxton, has been sidelined. After members of his own party turned on him, Paxton was impeached on twenty counts, removing him from the game.

Here are the responses from folks online:

I believe the Bush’s are behind the Paxton impeachment.”

All the AG’s are watching what’s happening to Paxton, and saying “No thanks.”

“Ken Paxton would but has has an impeachment trial.”

“I’m sure Biden already thought of that and that’s why he had Paxton impeached.”

“Republicans are cowards. The only guy with the balls to fight is getting impeached right now.”

They’re definitely right on one thing — Ken Paxton is probably the only Attorney General courageous enough to challenge the regime. If he was able, would he go after Biden and Mayorkas right now? Of course he would. This is the guy who sued the Biden administration many different times, including for forcing abortions in Texas and also over a phone app that increased illegal immigration into the country. In fact, Paxton has taken legal action against the Biden administration more than twenty times. Now, Ken finds himself unable to stop the tyranny that’s flowing like lava through Main Street USA, destroying everything in its path. Coincidence? Maybe, but most conservatives don’t buy it. They think this was a planned move from the regime that was carried out by the uniparty.

If you want to help Ken Paxton, get on the phone and respectfully speak out.

Not sure

What all the pessimism is about…..

Listen I’m Neal Brown’s biggest hater but just enjoy this one. Y’all wanted a team that had some edge and some fire and that’s exactly what we showed. Yeah it wasn’t the prettiest, but EVERY single time the question was asked “who’s the tougher team” we shoved it down their throats. WE PUNKED THEM PHYSICALLY. ALL GAME.

If Garrett had played I think we would have absolutely boat raced these fools. Instead we won it with a QB who 95% of this board(including me) agreed was absolutely NOT ready to lead this team. Minus the fumble he played a smart and relatively clean football game and made some tight throws. His confidence and play will grow.

We’re 2-1 heading into conference schedule, against a bunch teams that I think are much worse than we previously thought. Stop with the hate and the BS and just enjoy it. I love it for Neal. I love it for Nicco. I love it for this team and for this fan base. Feel bad for Greene who deserved this moment but it is what it is.

EAT SHIT PITT. Now let’s go win another one.
