Attendance was down over 12000 to 14,600 for your game. That's close to 50% less than the year before.
Attendance was up about 10% over the year before for our game.
You drew a 2.4M people on TV, we drew 3.7M. So we drew maore than 50% more viewers than you did, despite being a late West coast game.
So if everybody on the east coast fell asleep or went to bed, what is your excuse for only drawing 2/3's of the viewers we did?
So you totally dodge the fact that your game didn't end until the wee hours of the morning and realistically you lost everyone viewing on the East coast, because no one would care enough about the game to stay up and watch it?

There were 19 bowls that received less viewers than ours. That's 50% of the bowls. How many of them were late night West Coast games that may have lost East Coast viewers? Since we still did better than half of the other bowls, it's fair to assume we would have done even better with a different time slot. (you yourself are admitting as much)
I'm not sure how you can claim "no one would care enough to stay up and watch it" when apparently there were STILL enough people that cared about the game to outdraw half of the other bowls.
I'd say that means we are a pretty good draw.
I'd also have to ask what that says about the attractiveness of all of those other bowls that had favorable time slots?
Marshall fans come on here and criticize us about this and that, but we aren't supposed to compare the topic to Marshall? How exactly does that work? In your confusing logic, would it somehow make more sense for us to make a comparison to VT? And what does anything mean without a relative comparison to something else?
Even with all of that, I'm not sure what logic you're using to try to use the starting time of our bowl game against us. We don't control what time the game starts.
And again, if anything, if you couple the starting time with the data from the other bowls, the only conclusion to be drawn is a positive one regarding the attractiveness of the game.
Should have been since ASU was playing at home....didn't see many Mounties in the crowd though! And a very god thing ASU's head coach struggles with basic math.
With or without, it doesn't change the fact that WVU is far and away the best program in the state.
