The more I think on it, the more I’m convinced Rich’s offense would tear through the Big XII

We have to be different than everyone else. It’s as simple as that. Trying to bring in the current trend of RPO’s, Air Raid, etc. and doing the same thing everyone else sees day in and day out isn’t going to work for us.

It’s comes down to Jimmy’s and Joe’s and we will never recruit at a level to stand out and above the competition. This strategy then pivots to player identification and development and having a monster defense. There are too many variables needing to control and line up to shine through.

With a RR offense, we can be different. We don’t need to out talent, out scheme, and out luck the other guy. We just have to execute what we do, and do it well. Considering the advantage of teams only seeing it once a year, vs 11 other games, it becomes harder to prepare for and execute against. Immediately, from the first snap of the ball, you have an advantage.

I don’t like the fvcker at all. But goddamnit, I want us to win again. I’m not sure the retread philosophy would work, it rarely ever has, but i think with the Big XII being as down as it is right now, it’s ripe for someone who can do it. It just makes too much sense to allow my personal pride to override my honest belief that his offense would slice through the Big XII. No other time in CFB has been this precarious for WVU’s future while also opportunistic.

If any of you are friends with the guy, tell him to call up Hoppy or Pat for that matter, go on the damn show, and say the following, irrespective of even getting an interview.

“I want to come back to WVU, it’s the thing I want most in the world. I messed up everything when I left and it’s one of my biggest mistakes. I allowed my ego to say things I didn’t believe. For anyone who grew up there, sometimes it takes leaving to realize just how special of a place WV really is. I’m sorry for leaving, I’m sorry for my part in what transpired, and most of all, I regret and lament missing out on what could’ve been. Pivoting to the future, I’m going to make up for it and push us back to where we belong.”

Done, anyone still holding a grudge after that, well, they’re just miserable humans. He needs to give everyone the closure, show some humility, and return us to glory.
