You cannot somehow extrapolate the amount of local revenue gained or loss from WVu Football.

Idiots. The proof needed is to demonstrate that an actual viable ROI is being realized from all the funds being dumped into a shitty WVu football program and only the football program.

In order to demonstrate an actual ROI being realized by STATE funds being dumped into WVU football ... first you have to quantify what those funds are:

WVU's athletic programs are self-supporting, they take practically no funds from the state to operate the athletic programs. (to quantify "practically no funds", it something on the order of $30k of a $70M budget) Out of that $30k, it's hard to say exactly how much is for football specifically.

So, it is safe to say that basically no state funds go to WVU football at all. And you call everybody else "stupid" and "idiots". hmmmmm.

Now, let's spin that same thought process around to Marshall "athletics". Since you are so concerned about the ROI for the taxpayers of our great state, how much is Marshall taking per year and how much have they taken and not paid back over their history?
