Time to move on

Brown has one attribute that will cost him his job - he is consistently inconsistent.

Every week there is something new that rises up and bites the team in the butt. Just when you thought just about everything has been exhausted to screw the team out of a chance for a win, something else shows up and says, "It's my turn".

You have to wonder about the morale. How you know something is going to go wrong, you just don't know what it is, but you know its coming. It always does.

Maybe that will be the deciding factor - how a consistently inconsistent team always manages to shoot themselves in the foot during a big game in an inopportune time - that get's Brown the boot.

The culture needs to change. When you are consistently snakebitten, you start to see snakes everywhere, and you end up being bitten over and over.

The biggest difference in this game, besides the borderline needs to be investigated officiating, was how clean the Iowa State team executed. Zero turnovers, zero bad snaps, even when we got pressure, Becht almost always made the right decision. On the flip side, we throw multiple interceptions, at least one wasn’t necessary, we should have been running the damn ball (nobody would blame Donaldson at this point if he goes into the portal), can’t snap the ball, just flag after flag if undisciplined football. Mentally and fundamentally weak program.

Becht well coached and knows when to throw the ball away.

Yet you agree with Bru and Vorhees everytime they claim posters with this opinion "just hate Brown"
I agree fans should be allowed to cheer for their team and not be subject to dumbass people on a message board. What does putting cursing a coach his players and school do to fix the problem?

Is it really some posters opinions or just angry shouts of hate?

six years and he’s given no reason for WVU to keep him. He’s done nothing to improve the program. The losses keep coming. No marquee wins. No big recruiting or transfer portal coup. No identity.

It's been time to move on for 3 years. This coach is a total joke. Anybody who supports this clown is a total fraud just like he is. What more does he have to show the powers that be before they realize he's sinking the program and taking us down from where we used to be? It's never going to change with this clown. This is the most inconsistent dumb f**kery we have ever seen. He's not even close to being as good of a coach as Dana holgerson, who also left a lot to be desired. Neil Brown is the worst coach in WVU history.

Then you must not read the posts of Bru and Vorhees that you keep liking and agreeing with. Those tools are attacking anyone who even suggests that Brown has done a subpar job in his last 5 years and the single positive of winning at OSU does not negate that nor the other now 3 underperformances this year. No one is saying they can't cheer for the team, but they go out of their way to suggest anyone who continues to suggest Brown needs to show more after a win are "not real fans" or just "hate Brown."

What I really don’t understand is our game plan against a defense like Iowa State. Trying to run the ball side to side and out of shotgun is what ISU thrive against. Why we refuse to go under center with a power package of TEs and slot or FB as a lead blocker and run downhill is beyond my understanding.

What I don't understand is why did he change the game plan after 2 straight successful drives. One a TD and the other a missed FG.

The other part is why do we not bring pressure. Everytime we have sent pressure it has worked. When we don't the safety gets lost and the opponent scores or gets big yardage.

What are you jealous or something? You want me to like your post as well? Will that make your hurt anger go away?

I've also seen the reverse of those attacking them because they choose to cheer for their team.

Wish that was all I didn't understand but there is so much more including how we are in year 6 of this circus show.

I'm begining to understand it. It's called Neal Brown footall. This is what you get when a weakling coach who is way in over his head and doesnt have a clue how to really coach to win. Based on his large collection of excuse-making PC's and interviews, he shouldn't even be expected to actually win. He' just a glorified baby sitter. The world has real issues, WVU not winning like we used to is not one of them, and he has made that very clear by bringing up the worlds problems in his press conference to draw attention away from the absolutely pathetic Pitt loss. I mean, he has had an awful schedule full of big scary teams as well, and its not fair, just ask him, he will in fact remind you. Its not fair that he has to open up againt PSU, and Bama. He wants us out of the Bama game. Hes had enpugh of playing top level teams. Its not fair to him to not open the season against the likes of Frostburg St instead of someone good. Oh yeah, and the refs arent fair either. The unfair officiating is always on the tip of his tongue.....just ask him.

Neel Brown has been treated very unfairly at WVU. Expecting him to win and be good is just too much for him to carry on his shoulders. Just ask him. Perhaps he can become the local BLM chapter leader or something after coaching. Or maybe just be a doormat for players and his wife to walk all over. He loves the gangster rap blaring from the locker room BTW, just ask him. Player-led yo.....
