Stating what I've said more than once on this board.......if you don't think a fanbase can/will abandon a major sport en masse then all you have to do is look to NASCAR. Dover has removed 49,000 seats, Charlotte has removed 78,000 from its peak capacity, Richmond has removed 62,000.

TV viewership has dropped roughly 30%.

Previously there was no question any and all races would sell out, now races have swaths of empty seats.

And keep in mind, this was a sport that was supported primarily by white males. If they leave their own sport how easily do you think they'll leave the NBA? (Of course only 33% of the NBA viewership is white so maybe the hit won't be as bad).

Then they can enjoy it. I don’t want to be called a racist by some millionaire athlete.
