Thoughts on the new BLM helmet sticker?

It has nothing to do with Black Lives. They only care about Marxist lives. I have posted many black leaders advising blacks to stay clear of these domestic terrorist. If true I will not be watching if WVU doesn't find a better way to support our black athletes. Until people take a stand this is only going to get worse.

this is essentially placation. What role would this sticker have on playing the game? None, obviously. So you tackle someone and see the sticker. Is that motivation to tackle again?

Also, the relativism of our country/world is on display again with this. BLM sticker is a political issue now finding itself in an amateur college game in an area of the helmet those behind the player will see. Uh, okay!

I wonder how people will react when this gets to Pee Wee football. LOL!

Why WVU would want to endorse a Marxist terrorist organization like this is beyond dumb. Would have been much more widely accepted to put “racial equality for all” of something of that nature. This is going to cost them mucho $$. Not to mention season ticket sales.
the thing is the players are 18-22 years old. 98 percent of them have no clue what "black lives matter" is. they see the words which are true. However, the players do not know it is an organization that raises money then doesn't give that money to any black people.

Again the words black lives matter are fine. we all understand the words. it's the organization that is the lowest piece of scum on earth and also, again I don't think our players understand it's more than words.

That said there are some players on the team that I know do not support blm the org.

You think they'll quietly go away when Trump is reelected? I see the mother of all temper tantrums on the horizon.

Why not throw an Al-Qaeda or ISIS sticker on there. Same endgame political goals. Sorry but if this is true I will not be watching. If people don't start holding leadership accountable in finding better ways to support our players then BLM and Antifa will seize entire control of everything people holds near and dear.

I agree a 100% and it would be a good idea if the team and staff were educated on what the BLM organization represents. To just put the letters on the helmets to appease the players, many of whom aren’t educated on what BLM is, is ignorant and irresponsible. Come on WVU be better than this!

Correct they are 18-22 years old. It's the so called leadership that needs to be held accountable for giving into domestic terrorism.. They are suppose to be teaching and mentoring respect for opposing views. That's not what's happening. The marxist are in charge.

In this thread, our racist, white, redneck, poorly-educated fans piss their pants over black, student athletes, who probably make up 80% of the football team, standing for racial justice and equality.

The root problem of all this, which started long ago, is allowing ANYTHING on the uniform other than things like the team logo, etc. Once you start allowing messages then someone has to determine what gets on and what doesn't get on.

It's like that old story about Geroge Bernard Shaw. He was seated next to an attractive young woman at a dinner party. At one point he turned to her and said "Madam, would you sleep with me for a million dollars?" The woman mulled it over and said "Yes." Then he said "Would you sleep with me for ten cents?" The woman said indignantly "I will not! What kind of woman do you think I am?" And George Bernard Shaw said "We've already determined that, now we're just haggling over price."

WVU (and everyone else) is using their football uniforms as message boards and now we're haggling over what will go on the message board. A better thing would be to use the football uniform as A FOOTBALL UNIFORM!. I'm watching to see football, not messages, of any kind.

the word racist means nothing to me. it lost all meaning when I witnessed a blue haired liberal girl call a guy a racist in Kroger last year because he bought JIF peanut butter instead of the off brand. she accused him of using his privilege to be able to afford the name brand.

it was at that moment I wanted all liberals to just go away in any possible.

No one is forcing you, or anyone else, to watch.

Is every player on the football team for disrupting the nuclear family?

It's a very bad idea. Money that is donated to BLM is redirected to the Democratic organization for campaign usage. It's not what it seems and has hijacked the original intent of social justice.

So I ask the question, will WVU donate funds to BLM?

You ever watch ‘United Shades of America’s hosted by Kamau Bell? He did an episode a few years ago that highlighted the BLM movement and how it got started by 3 women. Really good episode.

I really don't care what they do.....I will still watch the games.......meanwhile........

8:00 PM EDT September 1, 2020

CHARDON, Ohio — Last Friday, the Chardon Hiltoppers opened their season with a win over Eastlake North. But the victory did not come without controversy.

When the Chardon players ran out on the field to start the game, one was carrying the 'thin blue line' American flag. The symbol is associated with the Blue Lives Matter movement, a display of unity among police officers.

In the aftermath since the display, Chardon Superintendent Michael Hanlon has ruled that the flag is no longer able to be used during school events.

"Based on discussions that ensued over the weekend it is understandable how this could be interpreted as a racially-motivated action and, therefore, not acceptable in a school community," Hanlon added.

FFS you are one ignorant fool. That's PROPAGANDA!!!! BLM, Antifa, and DSA are all the same people. It's International Neo-Marxist movement. It's roots date back to 1917. This isn't the first Marxist have tried to start a race war in the United States or around the world.

Wrong again. We’re all for racial justice and equality we’re not for a Marxist organization that uses black people to promote its socialist agenda and terroristic activities. Learn and read pea brain and maybe you’ll get it too.

Wait until someone puts George Floyd as their name...heads will explode...The NCAA is also allowing that along with a logo on the front...It's going to be easy to cheer during games...we can cheer for Floyd or Blake...

Whatever some of the founder's political beliefs are BLM isn't especially anti-capitalistic. Anyway, as for today, it has morphed into a mass movement with the theme of racial justice. That is what 95% of its supporters, including the players, believe in and by extension that is what BLM has come to symbolize. While politically expedient, trying to label what is happening now as being some sort of Marxist uprising is asinine and frankly desperate. I know people of all walks of life, all colors, and of all tax brackets supporting BLM and I can guarantee you not a one believes in anything approaching Marxism.

Did you watch the PBS special a couple years ago regarding the origins of Planned Prenthood and speciifically Margarent Sanger, the founder. A good show....really played up the actions of Sanger....who in promoting birth control, advanced a controversial "Negro Project", and wrote in her autobiography about speaking to a Ku Klux Klan group and advocated for a eugenics approach to breeding for “the gradual suppression, elimination and eventual extinction, of defective stocks — those human weeds which threaten the blooming of the finest flowers of American civilization.”

You actually just typed Marxist propaganda. I wouldn't be ok if far right propaganda was on the WVU helmet. You if you were being honest shouldn't be ok with this. Their leaders admit they are Marxist. They riot with Antifa. They are Anarchist.

I am not interested in my college football team becoming a political statement. i want my football team to play football.

One expects the leadership of WVU to lead, not simply bend to the prevailing winds. Racial equality should be a human right. How it is achieved is another story. There are better, more substantive ways to work toward racial equality than slapping a sticker of a shadowy organization that thrives by its use of a worthy-sounding name, but which does not follow the principles it espouses to the public. Among other things, the leadership of BLM is mired in anti-semitism.

Black athlete Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has questioned the BLM movement in this regard, also.

This is a move by WVU that injects politics squarely into its athletic program. This type of action (more than any perceived Covid-19 fallout) will diminish fan support. Will players' requests to use Trump and Biden helmet stickers or uniform patches be granted? Just play football.

Glad you can speak for the millions of people who peaceful support the movement.

I agree. However, the same applies to the Battle Flag of Northern Virginia too. People can brandish it and not support slavery or racism. Funny how we readily accept different standards when it comes to race.

Hey moron when you support domestic terrorist you don't have peace in your heart. That's why you educate the children to look for peaceful organizations to advance their cause. You continue to post support for marxist organizations under numerous handles. Eventually others are going to catch on to why you do that.
