Pitt ruins perfect ACC bowl season vs. Big 10

Watch out, Ohio State! ACC is on a roll against the Big 10.

Just ask Michigan, which lost to Florida State, 33-32.

Or Maryland, which lost to Boston College, 36-30.

Buckeyes play Clemson at 7 p.m. Saturday in Glendale, Arizona. Only Pitt has lost a bowl game this season to a Big 10 team, to Northwestern, 31-24.

ACC is 6-2 in bowl games played.

North Carolina lost, 25-23, to #18 Stanford. Good showing, though.

But:

North Carolina State beat Vanderbilt, 41-17.

Wake Forest beat Temple, 34-26.

Miami beat West Virginia, 16-14.

Virginia Tech beat Arkansas, 35-24.

And

Louisville plays LSU on Saturday.

Georgia Tech plays Kentucky on Saturday.

We all blast the ACC, but it seems they do well in bowls, NCAA basketball tourney and the NFL and NBA drafts. Sometimes I think we have blinders on.

Stanford played without McCaffrey, lost their starting tight end at the beginning of the game and their starting quarterback.
