Morning radio here agree with you on this Euell...said he delivered some solid checks and had a good number of chances which as we know finally hit paydirt!Besides delivering the OT game winner last night, Sid made a couple of crunching body checks. I thought he was really engaged throughout the game. I am optimistic his netting one will open the "floodgates."
I want them to be up 3-1 when Torontoeers and his beautiful wife make an appearance at CEC on Sunday and you guys get to see the clincher! That would be awesome! However, I will settle for 2-2 and you get to see the boys take a 3-2 lead. I'm not greedy!Morning radio here agree with you on this Euell...said he delivered some solid checks and had a good number of chances which as we know finally hit paydirt!
Obviously the Bolts will be all over him at home, he needs to fight past it and avoid getting goaded into retaliation....
Also thought Kunitz had his fair share of opportunities....he needs to bury one soon or he'll deserve some time on the pine.....

You would not believe how much we are looking forward to Euell...actually yes you would lol...but regardless the results I'm hoping for 2 but will be happy with one W down south, it's the playoff enviro...the elevated roar of the crowd which gets more and more amped with each series...the absolute best natural high anyone can get imo...when they take the ice...THAT is my favourite moment...the odd goal certainly helps too lol! Thank you for the kind words and I will do my best to be without voice by game end!I want them to be up 3-1 when Torontoeers and his beautiful wife make an appearance at CEC on Sunday and you guys get to see the clincher! And thank you for the kind words CM! Remember I'm a bit of a hack on blades for a Canuck lol...I truly do hang on a lot of the words that you and OM1, Euell et al bring to the table...I am always eager to h'EER' the take you fellas have on what we've seen, When you can look at something and think 'well I didn't see / think of that...' well that gets us all involved more which is simply amazing imo...it is just a game as they say but a common vested interest amongst fans agree/disagree makes it all the better...and after last night well...we all agree lol!Josh Johe (on DK's website) said flatly that Kunitz has little left in the way of hands based on the number of routine passes he seemingly no longer can receive. But he also said CK's effort cannot be questioned based on his game high 9 hits. For the record, the DK site has consistently been hard on Kunitz this season.
One more thing, t......I found your comments about Drouin's play without the puck VERY intriguing. Certainly would lead one to believe that's been his problem with the TBL (and Cooper/Yzerman) all along, and is something worth watching to the extent that's possible on TV (though YOU can obviously see it). Just another example of how valuable your perspective always is around here [thumb2]
Well said...very well said lol...the wife is a Letang fan...I think (KNOW) It has a lot to do with the looks lol...but she has two other faves now...Sheary and Especially Rust...if as you say Sheary can get just a bit stronger he is the perfect sparkplug imo...Rust appears to my eyes anyway to be a good thinker with speed out there...what a find...I really liked Sid's game last night. He could have had 2 more goal. Only one stupid backhand, cross-ice pass to Letang in the 3rd period that was deflected into the crowd (he should have shot with Geno and Kris busting for the net.) By far the active he has been on the offensive end in a while. I thought Sheary was trying to do too much. He has one good aspect to his game....speed. he needs to use that and quit trying to be cute with the puck. Also, he may be the weakest player I have ever seen on skates. In the offseason, he needs to hit the weights hard and really improve his ability to stay upright. He could have a nice career if he does those two things.
Was thinking just that the other night OM1...not sure ive seen quite so many odd man rushes given up in some time...eliminate even half of them and the Pens take this sooner rather than later, and convincingly imo.Maybe I am overly optimistic but I think the Pens can win 3 in a row here. The team looked good in the third period as we saw a return of better offense including the tough forechecking. As the NHL Network folks were saying last night, both Geno and Sid were engaged and both had good games. If they stay that way, I will be hard to beat the Pens. I know the Bolts like to counter quickly but if there is a single complaint about the Pens play over the last 2 is the number of odd man rushes caused by poor decisions. The 2 on 1 for the Bolts late in game 2 was just not smart play as nobody covered for Letang. If you think about this, 2 of the Bolts game 1 goals were a breakaway and a 3 on 1. I believe the 1st bolt goal Monday was an odd man rush as well. Yhey had a breakaway in game 2 as well that Murray stopped. The Druoin goal was just a Murray whiff.
Anyway, I think we win this series now in 6.
It seemed like Friday night the Bolts were blocking a lot of shots at the point which can lead to odd man rushes the other way. Also the way the Pens are emphasizing the forecheck, which to me has been effective, and pinching in some you may give up the occasional odd man rush. Hopefully, MM can not give up any more soft goals like we have seen lately. The Bolts will likely revert back to a bit of the goonery we saw in game 1 for tonight. ...don't get goaded into retaliation Sid/Geno et al....and chip that puck OVER the monstrous Tampa D reach!
Good point Indeed with the blocked shots Euell...It seemed like Friday night the Bolts were blocking a lot of shots at the point which can lead to odd man rushes the other way. About to comment same and you fast fingered fellas beat me to it lol! That is a weakass penalty
Lol...I want to say True....man the opportunity is there tonight isn't it!True or False: Malkin will actually have a legitimate SOG tonight (meaning not miss the goal altogether)
