Why is OU signing Venables to a large extension (6 yr - $8.5m) when he's 16-10 overall and 0-2 in bowl games in his first two seasons? It's not like this guy is a hot commodity. My OU friends back in Oklahoma are not too excited about this move. I guess it's a SEC thing - throw money at it and if it doesn't work out, just buyout and redo ~ (A&M / Jimbo Fisher).
