No thanks, I don't want to copy and past from Left wing sites because as I've made very clear over and over again, just copying and pasting from a site, any site is boring, mindless and dumb. If I wanted to just read what was on those sites then I'd go there and read.
You did that on our climate change scrum. Posted sh*t from all over Left wing anti-Capitalist sites and called it Science. Me and Pax called you out on it, and all you did was call us names and accuse us being "anti-science". All we were doing was pointing out there is no consensus of "climate change" or "Global warming" among the Scientific community. Your response wasn't to refute us, but to denigrate us with your preferred articles from your preferred sources.
You ignored ours. That's cool...that's what called "debate". We never once complained about your sources, we just rebutted them. You're free to do the same with the stuff @WVU82 posts.
I may have copied & pasted one or two things from time to time but I have never, ever been a serial copier & paster.
As far as climate change, the current consensus among the scientific community is that the earth is warming and at least part of it is human caused. That's just a fact. Scientists are humans so they can be wrong but the current consensus thought is what it is.
He doesn't "bring" anything, he copies and pastes from other sites. If people wanted to read what other sites say WE'D SURF OTHER SITES. And some of us do want to see what other sites say, and when we do we surf them. But when we come here we come for discussion.
Maybe we need two separate sites here. One is for people to copy & paste other websites, tweets, etc and another for PEOPLE to DISCUSS.
Not going to get into it with you again about that topic, but if Man can warm up the planet as you claim, how come he can't cool it back down whenever he needs to if it gets "too warm"?
Of course you are free to believe whatever you want about that topic, our point in scrumming with you about it was to simply point out Science doesn't debate proven facts....for instance there is no debate about the composition of an atom...it's established Scientifically proven fact that atoms have protons, neutrons, and electrons inside their nucleus. There is no scientific consensus on man made or caused "global warming". All of the predictive models have been wrong, and if anything recent measurements have showed the planet cooling, not warming!
But again, not getting into it with you again on this, just saying you're wrong about it being established scientific fact.
I try to read whatever he posts for that very reason...he just brings us stuff the MSM either refuses to report or ignores.
Usually when I'm trying to make a point, I'll post a link to an article, and excerpt it. I know not everyone either has time or wants to read all the links, so I try to draw out a line or two summing up the article, then if the reader wants further information they can click open the link. I think posting links just helps support your argument, or refute others.
I keep saying Op2, you can do the same with whatever 82 posts that you find inaccurate. I wish you would, you're very smart and I appreciate what you bring to the forum. Stop complaining and start posting more Dude!
well if you ask me the whole concept of humans controlling the "climate" or the "temperature" of the Earth is about as ignorant as anything I can imagine.
It's like arguing we have one of these for the Earth...absurd.
How do you block out the Sun? That thing has more control over the "temperature" or the "climate" of the Earth that anything we have made or can think of making. We can't even predict which way the wind will blow from one minute to the next, how the Hell can we warm up the planet, or predict 50 years from now how warm it's going to be?
Every single one of those global warming "models" is always 100% WRONG. If we're that good at warming up the globe, how come we can't even make our own predictions correctly? Why do they always predict 20,30,40 years out what the temperatures are going to do, and they can't even tell us if or when it's going to rain in the next two or three days?
I'll make a prediction about global warming. I predict whatever Leftist environmentalist screw jobs predict about it will be wrong. I'll be 100% correct and they will always be 100% WRONG. They always are, they always have been!
The only person I know who is always 100% correct and never makes a mistake (or admits it) is YOU boomer!

Even for a relativist such as yourself there is only one correct answer to the following question:
Boomer, what has more direct impact on the hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly flow of temperature change on the planet...choose one:
1) Man and his factories and carbon based manufactured products
or
2) The rotational axis of the Earth around the Sun?
If the answer is 1, how is it more impactful than the other option and more importantly what do we do to change it? In other words, how do we control the temperatures of the Earth over and above the rotational axis of the planet and it's proximity to the Sun as the seasons change?
If the Answer is 2, how is 1 a possible answer, and how do we control it if Man can control global temperatures?
There is only one correct answer, and that correct answer obviates your belief or argument in the other as a viable answer.
It's both logic AND Science. Any questions?

What Science explains how Man raises global temperatures? Matter of fact, what's the last predictive model of Man's control over global temperatures that turned out as predicted?
Can't have it both ways. If we control the global temperatures, we should be able to pinpoint precisely what they will be and when? If we don't control them, how are we responsible for heating up the Planet?
You cannot explain either, and there is no Science that does either which you can point to with accuracy. One other question boomer. Why is it that whenever "remedies" or "solutions" to a Scientific problem like 'global warming' are offered by the alarmists, it always involves the United States spending more money on Government controls or global government systems to address what is, ostensibly, a Scientific problem? Why is more government spending (primarily by the U.S) always the solution to the 'Scientific' problem of 'global warming'?
What does "Science" have to do with expanding Leviathan and its controls over global temperatures?

Cloud formations
Jet Streams
Inversion layers
Ionosphere
Precipitation
Ultraviolet radiation
Weather systems
ALL of these contribute to the "climate" and constantly change without our direction or input so how can our manufacturing activity measured against those forces change what they do in order to change the climate?

It seems we go in cycles, since I have been active, of self appointed person to control this board. It is possibly initiated by party in power. You have been here longer than me probably.
82 is certainly active. Bud was very active in liberal majority control. Of course there have been some posters who make more than their share of contribution, but over less time frame than these two. Is it good or bad for one person to set the agenda daily? Don't know, but they do keep the board active. Outside football and basketball season, we have seen the board so silent that some welcome a topic to discuss.
What is the right approach? I don't know, but it seems someone always initiates a subject to be discussed when those who "post more frequently" take a vacation.
