Georgia Democrats did the same thing here recently, redrawing some purple districts in DeKalb, Clayton, Cobb and Fulton counties to make sure only Democrats will win those districts. At one time I used to believe Democrats wanted what's best for the country...especially for poorer folks. However since they've allowed the radical Left to take over their party, I believe all they want now is exactly what you posted...to see America destroyed.

You cannot convince me that's not the logical end result of most of what they are in support of today...go down the list:

confiscatory taxation
gender reclassification
abortion on demand
profligate spending
defunding law enforcement
debasing of values
destructive energy policies
cashless bail
military neglect
gun control/confiscation

calling for slavery reparations
insisting on race based hiring

That's probably more correct than wrong. When I was younger I supported some of the programs Democrats sponsored to help poorer folks...like Pell grants and AFDC subsidies. However as you said, it's gone way past their expiration dates for some of these programs and if you look at what they've created it amounts to generational poverty and cycles of dependency that Democrats work to trap poor folks in just so they (Dems) can stay in power handing out more crumbs!

Seeing how much of that hard earned money is wasted, and how much debt they run up just to borrow more and keep wasting it...that did it for me. My turn towards more Conservative voting happened right around the time Reagan came onto the scene. Matter of fact I haven't voted for a Democrat since I started voting back in 1976! Didn't vote for President that year, but wanted Reagan to beat Ford for the GOP nod. Couldn't stand Carter...high gas prices, inflation, malaise...ugh.

Reagan ran again shortly after I had left College in 1980 and he was speaking my language. Voted twice for him, his VP Bush twice, Dole in 96, Bush again in 2000 (twice) , then McCain and Romney in 2008 and 2012 respectively (regret those votes) and Trump in 2016 and 2020...and will vote for him again in '24.

Yes of course. Rape and incest as terrible as they are still to me don't justify killing an innocent Baby. Circumstances of birth shouldn't allow us to decide who lives or who dies, but I'm a political realist and I know there was no way to save 98% of the babies without those exceptions.(Rape, incest, Life of the Mother)

Still that is a baby and it is being killed regardless of how it's conceived! Women who simply don't want their babies argue the circumstances of conception to justify killing them. What's the difference? Rape and incest are responsible for less than 1% of unwanted pregnancies and it's almost never medically necessary to kill the baby in order to save the Life of the Mother.
