US Attorney General Merrick Garland said he is open to prosecuting Trump for his ‘role in January 6.’

Merrick Garland was asked by NBC’s Lester Holt if indicting a former president would “tear the country apart.”

“Look, we pursue justice without fear or favor,” Merrick Garland told NBC’s Lester Holt in an interview that will air Tuesday night.

“We intend to hold everyone, anyone who was criminally responsible for the events surrounding January 6, for any attempt to interfere with the lawful transfer of power from one administration to another, accountable,” Garland added. “That’s what we do.”

“So if Donald Trump were to become a candidate for president again, that would not change your schedule or how you move forward or don’t move forward?” Holt asked.

“I’ll say again that we will hold accountable anyone who is criminally responsible for attempting to interfere with the transfer — legitimate, lawful transfer of power from one administration to the next,” Garland said.

“No person is above the law in this country. There is nothing in the principles of prosecution… which prevent us from investigating anyone who is criminally responsible for an attempt to undo a democratic election,” Merrick Garland said last week when asked if Trump can be prosecuted.

He’ll prosecute anyone “criminally responsible”. So, if he doesn’t bring charges, then logically, Trump didn’t commit any crimes and the J6 committee was just a sham.

He is an f'ing idiot. I swear this country is being ran by a bunch of shitheads. Implications of Joe benefiting financially on Hunters Laptop.....nothing. Talk about double standards. The country is screwed up!!! For the most part, politicians on both sides of the aisle are a disgrace and crooks. The media is whole other story. I don't watch any of it any longer. 95% of it is opinion or lies.

He will do what Biden and the Democrat Party tells him to do. Unfortunately for them they never consider the long term consequences of their actions.

I still beleive the Republicans were shit for not giving Garland a confirmation hearing. That said, the US dodged a bullet by not having a clown like him on the SCOTUS.

For sure. The prizes would be Hillary, Bill, Obama, Comey, Brennan, Comey, Clapper, Schumer, Schiff, Pelosi, Waters, Thalib, and Garland himself

We aren't putting a former President in jail. That's why this is an exercise of nonsense. I actually dare them. I feel confident in my ability to adapt to what happens afterwards.
