I wish we had opened with Delaware State instead of

You posted it twice and still failed to answer his question. Moron.

He also failed to mention that WVU, with one loss, finished in the top 5 and Syracuse, a team WVU throttled, finished in the top 15.

Marshall, in 1999, finished 13-0 and in the top 10. It didn't play one team that finished in the top 25.

Let's not forget that the 1988 WVU team handed Penn State one of their worst beatdown's in school history: 51-30...that's after calling off the dogs when we were up 41-7 at half. We defeated a ranked Pitt team at their place and Maryland, VT were good.

This post is so full of funny stuff, I almost don't know where to begin. Ranked Pitt, okay. Maybe they were ranked after their first two games, but who cares? They went 6-5 in 1988. Maryland was good? I guess if you consider 5-6 a good year. VT was good? Well heck yeah! They went 3-8 that year, including an impressive win over James Madison to end the season. That's good alright. Penn State? Yep a great year for Penn State going 5-6, including a loss to Rutgers. 1988, Joe Paterno's first losing season and he wouldn't have another for 12 more years. I guess timing IS everything.

Well kitty, you told me they sucked so I have learn that a team with only six wins sucks. Thanks. Want to talk about all the 3 win teams you played that year?

What's the point? Regardless of how weak you think you show WVU's opponents are, Marshall is 0-12 versus WVU.

Our schedule in 1988 was weak. That was not our fault because we played historically good programs. Penn State won a title around that time.

With all that said our schedule that year was MUCH tougher than any schedule the herd faced so I am not sure what his point is?

Which ain't the same as a visit to the Swamp! No day at the beach!
So playing Florida one time at their place is big time? Cool.

It's not worth the time, but I wonder how many times WVU played Miami at the Orange Bowl when they were #1, at Penn State, at Pitt, and NotreDame and Alabama on neutral sites .... I'd say guessing at least 10-12 times compared to 1. Note: all but Alabama have been to Mountaineer Field. Has the Gators been to Huntington yet?
