I love a lot of those guys. All of them have a chance when Trump is done. None of them have a chance until Trump is gone o until Trump knights them.
Realistically that is it right now.

The way the primaries work are not indicative of how the general works. The hard core registered republicans will vote for Trump. The conservative minded independents can’t vote in most state primaries so they can’t influence the primary. They’re shut out. You tend to usually have the hard core base drive the primary candidate and then in the general, the candidate will “run to the middle”. There is no running to the middle for Trump. Independents by and in large aren’t going to vote for Trump because of his personality. It’s just a fact. They would absolutely vote for DeSantis as an alternative to Biden.
Moderates and Independents in swing States are going to support this?

Without a doubt, Trump’s public perception is heavily altered because of the media coverage and coordinated efforts to vilify him. Many people think he’s a racists because of misleading sound bits and failures to recognize the pro-minority initiatives he undertook. Yet, his own loutish behavior feeds the misperception.
After all the crap Democrats and the media threw at and said. Honestly I think he was too nice. If he get the Majority in the Congress and the Senate I hope he unloads on them being he will only 4 years left. They deserve every bit of it.

They think he’s worse for the country than Biden even though they don’t like Biden or Harris. They’re tradition liberals: pro social programs, pro abortion, pro gay rights but not Marxists. They’re (irrationally IMO) never-Trumpers. But they are also very pro free speech and pro First Amendment. I said I would vote for DeSantis if he won fairly without the interference of the DOJ. Are you going to vote for Trump if he wins the nomination? It's a simple question.
If DeSantis can't beat Trump he can't beat the Democrat machine. No amount of mental gymnastics is going to change that. Matter of fact he better do it without interference.

I disagree. If he can’t beat Trump, he wouldn’t even get the chance, obvi. He would be able to court much more of the middle and hold the line on the base, minus the butthurt Trumpers.
I think the best chance Trump has is with DeSantis as VP and Ron doing a job explaining to people why the media has brainwashed them and imploring them to give Trump a chance

I'm hoping they end up on the same ticket. Not sure that will be enough if they don't get a ground game and ballot harvesting plan going.
Honestly, as toxic as Trump is to the independents, I just can’t see anyone that has designs for a political future tying themselves to Trump. He’s radioactive.
I'm passed the point of caring IF Trump is electable. I will never, ever, EVER vote for an establishment candidate again in my life. Now, when DeSantis finally throws his hat in the ring I'll be closely looking at who his backers are; if it's the wrong people then a pox on the whole process.

I’ll happily vote for him if he wins the primary. My vote in the primary will be to someone I think can win. To me, voting for Trump in the Primary is like voting for a 3rd party candidate in the general. It’s a protest vote with no real chance of winning the WhiteHouse.
2022 proved how radioactive he is. The GOP underperformed in key races because of him.
I think Trump likely wins the Primary. I don’t think that’s the best answer for the general. I will vote for him in the General. I won’t in the Primary. You aren’t going to change my mind.

I think this is spot on.
Trump did what he needed to do......to fight a corrupt media and to expose more on what so many knew about the corruption of the media, but, he is paying a price now for it. Plus, for me, Hillary isn't president. She should never be president. She is up there with many of the known global corrupt people. Trump improved black unemployment liberals could never achieve and that I am grateful for and he did the best with the border in the time he had. The highlighted exposure he stirred up of the complicit nature of the media as connected to American liberalism (another form of socialism) casted more doubt on the trust America has for the media. The media is poison and he contributed to exposing their toxic nature.
Trump is done. Blacks will not vote for him.
If I ever voted that way I would too. But there may be options this time around. I absolutely can't conceive voting for Biden or Harris.
I just mean for all the arguments against Trump...I'm voting for him just because of all the crap he's had to put up with and been fully exonerated.. If he doesn't win the primary, any Republican gets my vote over a Democrat but as things stand now I think the GOP nod is his to lose. I don't see a Democrat beating him, no matter how many folks dislike him because he's innocent even with all the smears & anyone else the other side runs means the country is finished. (that's why they're so desperate to stop him)

Trump got elected in part because of his strong stand on enforcing illegal immigration and controlling our border. The border right now is a mess and many Blacks are upset so many of these folks are being allowed in and getting set up with free room & board, cell phones, clothing, EBT cards and Democrat voter registrations. A lot of Blacks will vote for Trump upset over that issue alone.
