Great plan. Go to a second level power 5 team in a small (and still shrinking in population) state to make a big splash in the political world. I’m sure that they would never grab very much attention at a University of Georgia or Norte Dame or Alabama level school. Shane should of stayed at Alabama and worked his way up the ladder there. WVU on that basis should never of hired him if he is shown little vision and patience.
It was a business decision nothing more. Every other school would have done the same thing. Lyons and Brown didn't let Vic go because they are card carrying members of BLM. They let him go because it was in the best interest of Wvu football long term. You can't have rivals schools going around telling recruits Your D coordinator is a racist. Recruiting is a nasty business. The only people who can't understand this are the ones who wrap themselves up in politics.

WVU shouldnt support rioting and anti-cop hatred. That shouldn't need to be said, but unfortunately that's the stance they took. I think politicizing WVU sports is wrong, and divisive.
You may be correct that Brown/Lyons were willing to turn their backs on their own morals to have better recruiting, but that doesn't make me think anymore highly of them.
You and I can agree to have different opinions on the situation, which I'm comfortable with...I just wont agree to approve of their actions and reward them with my support.

Most of the universities around the county put blm stickers on their helmets. Most of the people supporting the BLM movement are not rioters only a select few. Whether you chose to support wvu is your own choice but if you were in Brown and Lyons position you would have done the same thing, Its easy to criticize when you sit in the cheap seats.

I didn't watch a single game last year, cancelled any plans to do so in the future. Voting with my feet and wallet, as they say.

Blm was founded in 2013 after travonn martin was killed to protest perceived injustices against Black people. Whether you believe the injustices exist is your opinion. It has nothing to do with socialism. It is a decentralized movement with no formal hierarchy. There is no current mention of socialism on there web site and I doubt there ever was. As far as the election goes it was a free and fair election. Every Secretary of State came to the same conclusion. 59 judges came to the same conclusion and quite a few were Trump appointments. Former President George W Bush said the election was fair as did the FBI and DOJ. People that question election integrity need to show proof and they failed time and time again to do that. Several states vote by mail exclusively without any wide spread problems. The only guy saying it was stolen was some con man from Manhattan who believed in autocracy not democracy. The same guy who sent a cease and desist letter to Gop fundraising committees back in March. The only threat to democracy are the ones who don't respect the will of the voters.
