Finally, meaningful basketball games starting Friday, December 30 with the Big 12 schedule that includes a tripleheader on ESPN2.

#11 West Virginia (11-1) at Oklahoma State (10-2), 4 p.m., ESPN2

#4 Baylor (12-0) at Oklahoma (10-2), 7 p.m., ESPN2

#3 Kansas (11-1) at TCU (11-1), 9 p.m., ESPN2

Texas Tech (11-1) at Iowa State (8-3), 6 p.m., ESPNews

Texas (6-5) at Kansas State (11-1), 8 p.m., ESPNews

Notice that Baylor is undefeated with victories over ranked teams, 5 Big 12 teams have ONE loss and Oklahoma State has only 2 defeats.

92-20 for the Big 12. I know, lot of cupcakes, not just by WVU. But except for Iowa State, Oklahoma and Texas, it’s pretty impressive.

So far.

Kansas won it again last season and was 33-5 overall. WVU was next and 26-9 overall. Oklahoma was 29-8, much better than this season so far. Texas also, at 20-13, did better than this season so far.

TCU and Oklahoma State were at the bottom, with 12-21 and 12-20.

The Cowboys already are only 2 victories below last season’s entire schedule total. Major upgrade.

Okie St will be a good challenge for this team, if for nothing else, they have two very good guards. Good guards make it tougher to amass many turnovers, which we live on. Better come out making some shots, including foul shots.

Should be a good game on the road. Another weird starting time at 4:00pm Friday.
