Daryl Porter Jr. ...

Several starters have left WVU since Neal Brown arrived. A few right now, others are already GONE. And with the hefty numbers of players WVU has already lost, three starters is three too many.
Well we can look year to year if you like, but let’s stick to the current year that has everyone’s attention.

Even you blamed Brown for the mess in the quarterback position so the loss of Doogie in everyone’s eye is a non issue.
AGREE?

One part time starter at defense back leaves.
A DEPTH ISSUE.

One full time starter leaves this week.
Ding dong ding. We have one important player on defense leave. Let’s forget that he may be leaving so he can be a part of a package deal with his All American brother. But an …..
ISSUE

That is one starter out of 17. Look at some schools where they have 6 or 7 starters jumping ship. Look at the 6 schools that have 20+ leaving.
Are there that many Neal Browns running around destroying college football programs? No. There are that many players that just want to play or play more than they are doing at where they are at.

1 out of 17. Sure does signal to me we need to stand on the panic button, fire everyone, burn the program to the ground and pray that Holgersen comes back to save all of college football for us.

I’m glad that someone in the WV media press is finally criticizing Shane Lyings, who has been escaping necessary criticism for far too long.

Fred, its a known fact that coaches, ADs, schools, conferences and the NCAA itself have been pulling in billions each year on the backs of the athletes earning the money. They paid $0 and $0 back to the athletes for the time, work and effort put in by the players.

Now that the players have proved in courts of law that they are in fact being illegally held back from earning a living as everyone else is supposed to be allowed to do, people like yourself are using the typical right wing response of turning the tables from what was DONE to the players into what the players are doing to the people that oppressed them throughout the history of college athletics.

Why are you not concerned with what coaches, ADs, schools, conferences and/or the NCAA earn and put in their pockets off the backs of the players? Why are you not concerned with coaches and ADs moving freely from job to job as they see fit, or students in general, but for some reason athletes have the same rights and its "greed and selfishness"? Its not "greed and selfishness", its a combination of not being happy where you are--due to factors like the head coach, and for a small number (and we have little factual knowledge of what the majority of players are getting in NIL), the ability to earn more somewhere else.

Now if you aren't disabled or retired, YOU can switch jobs as you see fit, or even if its not a job, seek the highest monetary opportunity as you feel benefits you and is possible. So then why are you so bothered that student athletes can do the same?

And since at WVU STARTERS are leaving, not people disgruntled because they are sitting on the bench, its perfectly clear by the sheer numbers that there are internal problems at WVU that go beyond NIL issues. Especially true since no one knows if someone offered WVU players more money to go somewhere else--people are just creating the myth that is happening to excuse that perhaps coaching is the reason. But we have actual evidence from actual players from football and basketball at WVU that have said coaching problems are EXACTLY what the problem of players departing earlier than expected at WVU is coming from. Of course people make up lies and excuses or simply censor those messages (sort of like banning factual history as is going on around the country now in schools, so a few can pretend that factual history doesn't exist).

What athletes get is not $0 and if it was that would be equivalent to saying that ordinary students are paying $0, but I get your point. But the thing is, your point only applies to a small minority of college athletes, those being men's basketball and football players.

It costs schools a lot to put on all the other sports. Those athletes are living on the backs of both you and I and of the men's basketball and football players.

If they cancelled all the college sports except football and men's basketball, 80% of the people wouldn't care in the slightest.

Is this hand wringing over the defensive lineman that walked on senior day and hasn’t been in any workouts since?

SHOCKING!

What a train wreck our football program has become. Will there be any players left by September?

Chandler-Semedo played four seasons with the Mountaineers. (Claimed he was returning for his 5th season. So if not for covid he would be gone anyway.

Porter Jr. spent two seasons as a Mountaineer. As a freshman, he saw action in six games. Became a starter last year. Was injured and replace by Matthews.

There were 2,600 transfers in the 2020-21 academic year and they're expecting 3,000 or more for 2021-22. Transfer year begins August 1. Not January like the Mutt and Jeff show claim. There are 19 transfers from August 1, 2021 to today. WVU recruited 21 and so far 4 transfers. Whatever leaves is replaced.

Starters are quarterback Jarret Doege, slot receiver Winston Wright, wide receiver Sean Ryan, Porter, Chandler-Semedo and defensive back Jackie Matthews.

Arkansas and LSU are tied for most players transferring this portal season.

You have no credibility left. ..unless it is as a court jester.

Did you even bother to read the posts idiot child? Three years in 4th grade didn't help you at all.
The only thing you THINK we lead the nation in is players in the portal and putting that statement and the news today of the d-lineman leaving is why I posted.

As far as other “posts” I have no idea (or care) what king of nothing posted. He has been on ignore for months. I’m sure he will rant and childish name call (kind of like you) next. Skyhawk is either a true RichRod fan or just trying to get a rise out of people. That debate was DOA years ago and wasting time re-hashing it over and over again is a waste of time, kind of like the portal issue and WVU no where near the top like you claim.

But flame on trolls, Flame on.
