It’s obvious he can recruit a solid qb out of high school who can run his offense. Allison has had two years getting tons of practice snaps and was unable to produce in Dana’s system.

If two years in the program as the #2 guy isn’t enough to get him ready, do you really think 15 more spring practices will do it?

With David Long leaving, Marcus Simms is up in the air, plus all the seniors gone, Dana was looking at a 6-6 season with a pink slip by next November.

Houston is the smart move.
 
Somewhere around 5 years and $20 million vs the 1 year extension offered by Lyons. Yes, definitely a smart move.
 
Its a good time for a mutual split. If Dana couldnt win the conference this year he isnt going to without a lot of luck. We have no QB, young WR's, some big losses on defense. Its going to be a long season for him and the fans if he stays.
