Keep following my advice & WVU wins by double digits!

In first half WVU took my advice:
FOUR turnovers
For 35-27 lead.

I also said harass Kalscheur without fouling him. They did. He has 3 personals, sat out big chunk of 1st half. WVU easily out-scored Iowa State with him on bench.
When he comes in let him commit 2 offensive fouls knocking Eric into the 3rd row!

Pass, don’t dribble, I said. WVU did.
Get the ball to Erik, I said. They did. 11 points in 1st half alone!

Toussaint cut down dramatically on his crazy over-dribbling, has 11 points, too. But he needs to stop gesturing with his hands to the crowd. The refs will call a T at a bad time for WVU if he keeps doing that.

So, if WVU keeps following my advice, they’ll win. But, at 90, I’m too old to replace Huggins at WVU. Wouldn’t want to if I were 40. Those shoes are big and Bob’s shadow so giant that his successor will be booed unless he goes to Final Four every year.

WVU has shown it can beat Iowa State again, even in Ames. Keep doing what I told you to do and we’re at 17 and, with Big 12 opener W, 18 and in March Madness.

Whoo-hoo!!

RECENT WVU TURNOVERS & FINAL SCORES HISTORY

21 TO, lost to Kansas by 2
20 TO, lost to Texas by 24
14 TO, lost to Texas Tech by 6
13 TO, lost to Baylor by 12
11 TO, beat Iowa State by 5

ONLY victory in this stretch was with least turnovers, 11.
So, if WVU has 11 or fewer turnovers against Iowa State tonight then the Mountaineers won’t beat themselves. That would be a little more than half WVU’s 19.9 turnovers PER GAME average.
If only the wild and crazy dribblers Keddy and Toussaint let that sink into their brains. Their ELEVEN combined turnovers killed WVU against Kansas and prevented a miracle of an upset!

In 76-71 victory over Iowa State in Morgantown:
WVU had only 11 turnovers.
But 4 were by over-dribbler Keddy Johnson.
And 3 by Bell, because he can’t handle basketball properly.
Matthews scored 20 with NO turnovers.
Keddy did have 22 points which mitigates some of his turnovers.
Score points, less over-dribbling turnovers tonight, Keddy, and WVU can win again.
Stevenson had only 8 points and fouled out. Can’t let them happen again tonight.
Lipsey had more turnovers for Iowa State (4) so WVU should harass but not foul him and get the ball back.
Lipsey, Holmes and Grill all had double-digit points.
Blow away the Cyclones!

How many 20+W teams in other conferences would not go better than 2-8 (SIX single-digit losses by WVU) against that incredibly tough lineup? HAVE YOU NOTICED THAT WVU'S SCHEDULE IS RANKED AMONG THE 10 TOUGHEST IN AMERICA! THAT DOESN'T COUNT FOR ANYTHING. WVU HAS AT LEAST 10 GAMES WITH SINGLE-DIGIT LOSSES, A MAJORITY AGAINST TOP 25 TEAMS. THAT DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING TO YOU? IF YOU GO ONLY BY W'S AND L'S THEN MAKE THE RUNNERUP IN THE MOST RINKY-DINK CONFERENCE IN AMERICA A 2 SEED! THAT WOULD FOLLOW YOUR REASONING THAT 22-10 IS BETTER THAN 16-10 NO MATTER WHO YOU PLAY! LET'S HAVE A REALITY CHECK! WVU WILL BE IN MARCH MADNESS BECAUSE THE MOUNTAINEERS HAVE EARNED IT BY SURVIVING THE 10 TOUGHEST SCHEDULES IN AMERICA IN THE #1 BY FAR TOUGHEST CONFERENCE IN AMERICA! WOULD YOU REALLY SAY THAT THE KENNESAW STATE OWLS, AT 23-8 AND ATOP THE ASUN CONFERENCE, SHOULD BE IN AHEAD OF WVU? OR UMASS LOWER RIVER HAWKS 24-7 OF THE AMERICAN EAST CONFERENCE? OR MONTANA STATE 21-9 OF THE BIG SKY? OR LONGWOOD 20-11 OF THE BIG SOUTH? THOSE TEAMS WOULDN'T STAND A CHANCE AGAINST WVU AND YOU KNOW IT. IF YOU DISAGREE WITH THAT THEN EVERYONE ON THIS BOARD WILL KNOW YOU DON'T KNOW BASKETBALL. WELL?

You’re saying that an L is ALWAYS less impressive than a W?
Even when WVU lost to California in the 1959 NCAA title game despite Jerry West scoring 28 points? Voters were so unimpressed that Jerry was the first player on a losing team to win the MVP award.
That 1-point L was less impressive than beating Western Kentucky by 2 points?
Or that this year’s WVU team beating Morehead and getting a W was more impressive than losing to Kansas AT Kansas where they lose maybe 2 times at home a season?
You can type that with a straight face?
Jerry West and the 1959 national runnerup team and I differ with you.

Lose by 2 IN Kansas worthy of March Madness selection.

Don't you dare besmirch WVU's effort today. Damn near 1st win AT Kansas in history! SO proud of this team. It IS ready for March Madness run!

The dumbass dribblers 0 (Keddy) and 5 (Toussaint) hurt WVU’s chances of a first in history win IN Kansas! Keddy scored 15 points but had EIGHT turnovers which, in a game decided by 2 points, was a killer.

Toussaint, the other dribble-to-die player, had only 2 points and THREE turnovers.

Tre had 4 turnovers but scored 20 points. And was a shooter not an over-dribbler, a curse on this WVU team.

Bell was a scoreless giant. Useless again today. Other 4 starters had SEVENTY ONE of the 74 points!!!

Dribbling and 21 turnovers, 8 by Keddy, destroyed what would have been WVU’s first victory IN HISTORY AT KANSAS.

Pass, you win. Dribble, you lose. All season long.

WVU out-rebounded, 34-26, but 21-19 on turnovers offset that.

WVU can beat Kansas IN Kansas for 1st time in history if Bell and Johnson stay on bench or stop making turnovers (6 of WVU’s 10 in 1st half!).
Erik has 7 points but 4 of 7 WVU assists worth 22 or more of the 33 points.

Oklahoma, TCU and Kansas State won ON ROAD today. Why not WVU?

Hell just froze over and pigs are flying all over the place.
Maybe WVU can beat Kansas ON THE ROAD?
Hey, maybe Saturday is Mountain of Miracles Day!
This has to win the award for the longest, most meaningless post ever on this site.

Where the hell did you cut and paste this BS from?

I KNOW IT REALLY BURNS YOUR GUTS BUT I RESEARCH AND ANALYZE. HUGGINS DOES ANALYTICS, TOO, WHICH IS WHY HE'S WON MORE GAMES THAN EVERY COACH EXCEPT 2. PLUS, I GOT MORE THAN $1 MILLION FOR MY ANALYTICS SO, EVEN IN RETIREMENT, MY BRAIN WON'T STOP DOING IT. AND YOU GUYS GET IT FOR FREE, NOT $1 MILLION. MY STOCK PORTFOLIO APPRECIATES IT, THOUGH.

I AM SO HAPPY ABOUT THE IOWA STATE-KANSAS ROAD TRIP THAT IT'S ALMOST 3 A.M. AND MY MIND AND BODY WON'T LET ME SLEEP. I'LL JUST ENJOY THE EUPHORIA FOR A FEW MORE HOURS. WANT TO JOIN ME IN MY HAPPINESS OVER MY BELOVED ALMA MATER'S RESURRECTION? NO SOURPUSSES ALLOWED FOR NEXT FEW DAYS.

There is far too much space between your paragraphs. That's usually a sign of cut and paste with edit.

Let the season play out before making dumbass decisions and picks.

Confused Fails Eer is such a cartoon character. Now casting his plantation earnings as a million dollars. The guy is a fake and fraud with no redeeming value. I know, for a fact, that he is not the dude he claims to be.

Well you better go back and re-research your data. When you take the total number of turnovers and divide by the average minutes played in a game, that does equate to the number of turnovers per minute.

Have you ever been to a basketball game before, or actually read a stat sheet? I would hate to see you figure out a shot chart.

25. Texas Tech 16-13 8th in Big 12

WVU played #3 Kansas, #5 Purdue, #8 Texas, #9 Baylor, #14 Kansas State, #16 Xavier, #17 Kansas State, #23 Iowa State, #24 TCU, #25 Texas Tech.
That’s 10 Top 25 teams. EIGHTEEN games against Top 25 teams, SIXTEEN games in the Big 12, by far the toughest conference in the country.
How many 20+W teams in other conferences would not go better than 2-8 (SIX single-digit losses by WVU) against that incredibly tough lineup? With Iowa State, which lost earlier to WVU, and Kansas State, which WVU lost by 6 to ON THE ROAD, left to play before the Big 12 tournament, when WVU will be matched against Oklahoma, Texas Tech or Oklahoma State in the opener. WVU has beaten all 3 this season.
WVU is 16-13 and will play 2 games against teams the Mountaineers have beaten (18-14?). 18 should get WVU into March Madness. After all, in the 2022 March Madness, Michigan got in with 17-14, Rutgers with 18-13.

For those who say W-L record ALONE should keep WVU out of March Madness:

DO YOU THINK ANY OF THESE TEAMS SHOULD BE IN MARCH MADNESS INSTEAD OF 16-13 WVU?
None will get the automatic selection of being a conference champion.

Alabama Birmingham 22-8

The dumbass dribblers 0 and 5 hurt WVU’s chances of a first in history win IN Kansas! Keddy scored 15 points but had EIGHT turnovers which, in a game decided by 2 points, was a killer.
Toussaint, the other dribble-to-die player, had only 2 points and THREE turnovers. Tre had 4 turnovers but scored 20 points.
This season WVU lost to #3 Kansas by 2 AT KANSAS, beat Pitt, lost by 6 to #14 Kansas State, lost by 5 to #9 Baylor, lost by 8 to #8 Texas, beat Auburn by 3, lost by 4 to #24 TCU, lost by 5 to #23 Iowa State.
If all those teams are in March Madness then so should WVU! Schedule toughness – 5th or 7th nationally I forget which -- should factor in along with W-L record!

Oklahoma beat #23 Iowa State. #24 TCU beat Texas Tech. ON THE ROAD in the Big 12.
Hell just froze over and pigs are flying all over the place.
Maybe WVU can beat Kansas ON THE ROAD?
Hey, maybe Saturday is Mountain of Miracles Day!
