    Will the CFP expansion kill...

The seeding is not so much a problem. The real issue for Notre Dame is that everyone else has 2 paths to make the playoffs, and they only have 1.

    ACC losing schools?

Yeah, I don't know why everybody takes this person seriously.

How could i.e. ACC teams get out of GORs

I can answer this for you. Some fans of teams, who aren't currently included in the "safe" conferences, are afraid of their teams getting left out. Their way to cope with this anxiety is to try to assure themselves that a positive outcome exists, and talk it into existence. We all do this to a...

B1G players demand cut of new contact $$

You could solve a lot of this by making the schools pay taxes on all this revenue. Making the players pay taxes on scholarships would help also.

How could i.e. ACC teams get out of GORs

They aren't going to have renewed interest for anything that doesn't make them more money.

How could i.e. ACC teams get out of GORs

From what has been said here in the local media, from sources in the athletic department and university, there is not much interest from the SEC for adding Clemson and Florida St. From the SEC's end, those schools don't really boost the conference's revenue. I'm sure the schools want out, but...

    LMFAO on ACC's position

You are fixated on the conference. The conference is only a vehicle for the schools. The only reason to leave or join a conference is because it improves your school's chances of being successful. So here is my point. Let's just say all the big schools: Clemson, Florida St. Miami, North...

    LMFAO on ACC's position

I'm not trying to save face. The WAC stopped playing football for nearly a decade. You think that the fact that they started playing again, at the FCS level after being defunct for nearly 10 years, somehow bolsters your argument. Let me ask you this. If the ACC stops playing football for ten...

    LMFAO on ACC's position

Right.....at the FCS level. Notice you also said "back," indicating it was gone at the first place. The ACC isn't kicking out Wake Forest or Duke in the same way that the Big Ten isn't kicking out Northwestern or the SEC isn't kicking out Vanderbilt. If you think playing at the FCS level...

    LMFAO on ACC's position

If it's not about increasing revenue then why are Southern Cal and UCLA leaving the Pac 12 and Oklahoma and Texas leaving the Big 12? It's 100% because or revenue. Yes,it's gone. They no longer have football. The same way the Big East is gone. They no longer have football.

    LMFAO on ACC's position

Yes, it is about increasing revenue. That's the only reason any teams would be leaving in the first place. "Survival" is contingent on keeping the current teams in place. If the teams you mentioned are gone, there won't be an ACC to begin with. The remaining teams will partner with some other...

    LMFAO on ACC's position

According to the article, addingvtge teams you mentioned won't help. The article states that expansion options were explored, and none of the teams available would increase the payout.

Can We Forget The ACC Fantasy?

Virginia Tech fell off because Frank Beamer got old and retired. That didn't have anything to do with the conference. Same thing with Florida St. They are down because Jimbo left. They have only been down for about 3-4 years. That's not "forever."

    Gee limiting Big 12 Options?

It doesn't matter if you think they should get automatic bids. The proposal is that they do. You list just proves the point. The SEC had 4 to 6 teams in most of the years you listed.

    Gee limiting Big 12 Options?

That Big 12 team that you mentioned would be getting one of the automatic bids as a one of the top 6 conference winners. They aren't figuring into the 6 at large selection. The issue is that Oklahoma, with their track record, would give the SEC another team likely to get an at large birth. The...

    Gee limiting Big 12 Options?

Where those teams are ranked after the national championship isn't the issue. It where they are ranked at the end of the regular season that will matter for playoff selection. It's a different story if you go back and look at those rankings.

Gee says playoff expansion is on 'life support'

The SEC isn't in control. That's the whole point.

Gee says playoff expansion is on 'life support'

The money wouldn't be worth it to basically hand control of college football to the SEC. All formats aren't the greatest beneficiary to the SEC. The 4 team format has benefited the ACC, specifically Clemson, the most by far.
