Yet minority kids deemed "unteacheable" in Government run schools are placed into Parochial schools with tuition vouchers and perform academically exceeding the levels of their Government school contemporaries. No wonder more than 70% of inner city parents prefer school choice vouchers to their failing Government school offerings.

I went to a private school that offered a College preparatory curriculum that REQUIRED ALL STUDENTS REGARDLESS OF RACE pass 4 units of English (including composition writing) no exceptions.

The so called "War on poverty" much of it aimed at Appalachia, has been an epic failure and trapped that area in generational poverty.
Absolutely not! They set standards for graduation, and require all students meet those standards before being issued Diplomas. Not all students perform at the same high levels, but on average exceed their counterparts in failing Government schools who are passing & graduating kids that don't even meet minimum graduation competencies.
I'm mentioning "Black" kids specifically highlighting the suggestion that poor Black kids trapped in bad culture can't ever learn. It doesn't enhance their ability, but it's not determinative nor irretrievably detrimental to their capability.

In favor of Government keeping the money it confiscates with the people it confiscates from. Don't need Government running "poverty" programs or schools. Keep the money with the folks who earned it, and stop taking it away from them because some bureaucrat thinks they know better how to spend it than the folks who earned it.
True, but there are ways it can be done. Too many examples of that to write them all off.
Private contractors and developers build highways. Not Government bureaucrats. Government produces nothing, builds nothing, develops nothing, innovates nothing, improves nothing, nor sustains anything. All it does is get in the way of Free thinking people making the best economic decisions for themselves, their families, their businesses or their customers.
2nd amendment. If you're depending on police to protect you first, then you're in trouble. We do need police just like we need armed forces to protect the Homeland. However we are the first and last resort protecting ourselves and our Families...especially from a rouge Government police State.

Exactly. If we can pay for our own homeowners, automobile and Life insurance, we don't need Government paying for our own health insurance.
Exactly! No "child tax credits" needed if you're keeping 80% of what you earn to feed them! Cut all taxes for all taxpayers at all income levels. No one needs to pay more than 10 to 15% of their gross earnings. That's plenty to fund essential Government services, and get rid of 85% of the worthless bloated bureaucracies which do nothing.
Institute poll tests for everyone who works in the private sector, pays taxes, and doesn't rely on a Government check. They MUST pass a basic civics and economics test at 70% or better or they cannot vote! If you're on Government assistance or work for the Government, or you're not an American citizen paying into the Government, you can't vote! You'd be voting to pad your own income and you're disqualified by default.
