Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson 2027 quarterback Trent Seaborn told me that West Virginia is a big time offer and he thinks it's a great school. Quarterbacks coach Tyler Allen stopped by his school and that was the first sort of communication he has had with the program being a 2027 target so he's excited to continue to build a connection there. He watched the Duke's Mayo Bowl game last year and was impressed plus his head coach Mark Freeman is good friends with head coach Neal Brown from the time he was at Troy. He told me the plan is to go visit Morgantown but right now he doesn't have any dates set. Coaches have been impressed with his overall IQ and the way he can accurately deliver the football. Last season he completed 195/271 passes for 2,601 yards with 27 touchdowns and just 6 interceptions. He also had 80 yards rushing and two scores. Seaborn has visited a lot of schools so far with Clemson, North Carolina, LSU, Alabama and Texas on that list while he is planning to try to make it to USC, LSU, Texas and Ohio State along with a few others. He has a long ways to go in his recruitment but he does want to find the right fit for him in an offense and where he fits in with the culture of the program.
