Philadelphia (Pa.) William Penn Charter 2025 point guard Jake West told me that he was really happy to receive the offer from West Virginia. He spoke with assistant Kory Barnett and told me that it was great getting to know him and learn about the school. He is excited to continue to build a connection there. Schools like him as a true point guard but he also can play off the ball and score at all three levels. He averages 16 points, 3 assists and 3 rebounds per game on AAU. West has visited Providence, Penn and Columbia but told me that he plans to visit Morgantown to get a look at the school. He wants to find a place with a good culture and where he can fit in with everybody in the program.
