I see the similarity except Stefan (Tom Cruise) threw trash on the Nickerson (Craig T Nelson) lawn and recruiters quit talking to him after getting blackballed. Now Nickerson claims Stefen was not a good player after the PI in the big game of Ampipe @ Walnut Heights, I can see his point. And when Saluchi was crying in the locker room after the loss Stefen challenged Nickerson for criticism of Saluchi’s crying. These guys needed Dr Phil who was not a Dr then but just Phil in Texas.
Well the moral of the story is you can have free speech but that doesn’t mean there aren’t costs to pay after you speak. If you criticize a college coach as a former player, you better have a lot of hardware and bank or that coach & program will be persona non grata ie person not welcome to you from then on.
