West Virginia vs Texas Predictions and Odds

To close for anyone to call. Even Vegas. That's why the spread is -2.5 I disagree with the guy that said WVU hasn't faced top offenses in Big 12 yet. He forgot Tech is a high scoring offense.

Didn't Texas just lose on the road? Texas is 1-1 on the road just as WVU is. Texas gave up 38 to a bad Oklahoma State team. Texas next road game will be Texas Tech. Seems the one guy and lady are pumping smoke up Texas butt.

If WV comes out hitting on all cylinders they will beat Texas. On the other hand ..............if Willie Grier throws an interception or two.............the Mountaineers and the Mountaineer Faithful will have a looooonnnnnnnnnng ride home. Warez

Texas' offense is hit or miss
Best thing WV could do is jump on Texas 17-0 and force Ehlinger to win the game with his arm.
Problem with that like it is with WV is if Texas can control the LOS.
Then Texas becomes multi dimensional and can run the ball 45+ times a game.

If the game stays one possession or if Texas has the lead WV will see a steady diet of runs to open up the pass.

Key to the game ... Bigelow and the D-Line. We contain them and our Offense will wear them down.

The temps will be mild.
Game time temperature will be 75 with comfortable humidity because the dew point will be around 53.

So attrition will not be a major factor as the wind. It should be windy with gust in the high teens and average wind speed above 10 mph.

When Texas has all their players on Defense there aren't too many holes.
Pretty much the entire D will be drafted in the NFL.

Problem is that the starting NT Chris Nelson will not play.
The backup is not as explosive off the ball but he is better at clogging the gut.
Truthfully a lot of people wonder if they are going to use a quicker player at NT for the game or bring in true freshman Keondre Coburn to get some snaps.

Coburn is a man child and a nasty NT.
But he has been pushed hard by the coaching staff and called a fat ass because he had a lot of baby fat.

But.....
The kid is well coached and from Westfield HS. A school know to produce elite DL including Ed Oliver.
Plus he is also a Footwork Kings product. Maybe the best in Texas and possibly in the country at getting high school players ready for CFB.
