We had several top 30 recruiting classes before Dana got here

The 2007 recruiting class was the best because it had 29 players.
It was ranked the 24th best.
Would have put WV third in the Big XII that year

2009 was the only legit Top 25 class but that still was only good enough to be 4th in the Big XII

In a way they do...
Don't get me wrong because I think development and evaluation is more important.

But...the national recruiting services are getting much better mainly because they see these recruits firsthand at these summer camps.
 
On average the Mountaineers have signed 25 prospects per year with an average star ranking of 2.74 and average finish of 38th nationally from 2002 - 2017.
