And that's fine if we want to fight amongst fans but the thing about it is if they're going to keep someone like Neil brown, then they need to lower the ticket prices pretty much in half and get the hell out of the Big 12 because we don't belong there. I still haven't seen a single argument that raises an eyebrow about why Neil Brown should coach any longer. Nobody is delusional who has jumped off his bandwagon.

I have been a WVU fan for a long time. I will be a WVU fan for a lot longer.
But is is ok to say I don't like being a .500 team? Especially when I have no clue as to what the next game will be like. Doesn't matter if we are playing a good or bad team. You just tend to watch now and live with it. I do not like that.

Very valid point. If you’re not in it to win it (B12), then what is the point? Everyone makes excuses about the NIL and Transfer Portal (I was one of them) and that’s fine if you’re asking WVU to recruit 5 stars across the board like Ohio State. But we’ve never competed for those recruits anyways. The problem is, and the question, how are other similar programs doing it? The naysayers act like only WVU is dealing with the NIL and Portal problems. So is everyone else. It’s called adaptation to change. WVU and their resources should be competing for B12 championships consistently. Kansas State does it. Iowa State is doing it. Utah will be doing it.

Rush 5. 2 spies on GG 4 1 on 1 defenders for WR's. Make GG beat them with his arm. Odds are that he won't be able to do it. Not if any team has decent CB / S. This is what ISU did after the first two drives.
ESPiN showed the spies and how they used them. Closed off the biggest weapon GG has.
GG will be forced out of pocket and his run game will be slowed by the spies. He'll make a few good throws but even at that 56% isn't good enough to beat a decent B12 team. GG isn't nearly as accurate throwing on the run. Spies for ISU even kept the TE/outlet man in check.

Yeah I just don't see the point in giving Neil Brown some kind of pass that other coaches don't get. From what I understand we are in the top 35 in the nil. That is not bad at all. You're right we are not competing for a bunch of five-star guys. We have always done more with less because of good coaching. I think it's time we get back to that and stop the damage that's being done. When they raised ticket prices to pretty absurd levels, they made a commitment to winning, not just providing a fun atmosphere. It is difficult to go to those games these days, but fans are doing it and they are absolutely getting ripped off in every way and I am totally against it. If they want to downgrade to the Mac that's fine, but what they're doing now is a total failure.

Biggest difference in the ISU game is they took advantage of every WVU mistake. They are very disciplined team, well coached and very patient.
ISU talent isn't any better than WVU'S. They are better with their execution and the adjustments by coaches.

Honestly with ticket prices the way they are and the economy the way it is, I wouldn't blame anyone for not going to games. I'm surprised we have had the turnout that we have had this year. WVU fans are hardcore. Now we just need a coach to match that.

For once I agree with you. Garrett Greene is a true Mountaineer and has received way too much hate even on here from certain fans, imo. If people are threatening his mother, then those people should be arrested and exposed right away no questions asked.

That is simply not true at all. They could fire brown today and let Chad scott be the interim head coach. The team is still there. They could fire the entire coaching staff today and the team will still be there, waiting to learn who the new coach is.

Well I think the question was more than fair and Neil Brown has mostly just dealt with softball questions for 6 years. I believe if people were to ask the tough questions like they should but they're not allowed to, he would completely melt down and would expose the fact that he doesn't have a winning mentality at all. We pay this guy millions of dollars to win, not to have a good time. He's wasting all of it and wasting time on top of it. I remember when I was working in Cincinnati, Carson Palmer was their quarterback and they were fed up with him and they put trash on his lawn and threatened his life and all kinds of stuff. In other parts of the world soccer players get murdered by crazy fans for poor performance. Don't act like this is unique to wvu. I know you guys are pretty sensationalist-like with your liberal mindset but the truth of the matter is, professional athletes and even major college athletes should know to expect a bunch of crazy stuff. Because it happens all the time. I don't agree with it and it's totally stupid but it's reality. Rich Rodriguez had a lot of death threats as well. I was one of the few who took up for the guy. Other people were hoping his plane crashed. Huggins too. Certain fans wished harm on him.

Well I think he's pretty right. At this point after 6 average to below average seasons, the only people logging on this message board are real WVU fans. I don't think fake fans would even take the time to make an account on a place like this when there is much easier social media already at their fingertips. That's just my opinion though
