Purple Baylor....and they lie as well

TCU coach Gary Patterson informed media members on Tuesday afternoon that star wide receiver and return specialist KaVontae Turpin has been kicked off the team. Turpin was arrested on Sunday for assault and charged with bodily injury of a family member, according to Tarrant County Jail records. The Tarrant County Jail confirmed that Turpin had been released from custody on Monday.

Turpin had also been previously arrested in March in Las Cruces, New Mexico, for battery of a household member. However, the full scope of that incident was apparently not disclosed and/or known by TCU. In a statement released on Tuesday, prior to the announcement of Turpin's dismissal, TCU said: "The football staff was aware there was an incident in New Mexico, but not that charges included an alleged battery. The publicly available information they reviewed at the time only showed a charge related to property damage. We did not know until yesterday that his legal issues were unresolved."

"Obviously, I wish I knew more," Patterson

If Turpin was still at Baylor, he would still be playing and nothing would have happened to him. At least Patterson kicked him off the team.

"Back when we was pimps"

I'm one of the guys who wishes we'd bring back Briles.

However, those wins against OU and UT were when they had crappy QB's. I wish we could have seen what we could do when they had good QB's, but alas. I'm sure they would have scored more points and it would have been much closer games those years.

The Turpin cover up

The irony of your post is you stated TCU didn’t do enough, but in your quest to maintain your objective lens, your post wasn’t complete either. Why not?

To me, that point of the story happening to match up is supremely important, and it was omitted in your post. Why?

Often times I feel like your attempts to be Mr Objective actually cross over the line of objectivity and your post was essentially pointing the finger at GP/TCU.

Again, his story matched up to what they saw through whatever service they used, so why pull the police report? There simply seemed to be no reason to take further steps, based off the evidence they had.

I would be willing to bet the farm that had the other two charges been included in whatever report GP had in his hands today, more work is being done by GP and staff and Turp is gone in March. 100%.

I thought this was a thread about TCU sucking in football this year.
