If they can beat Ohio State, then all the sudden the B12 can play the “SEC game.”

TCU would move up several spots due to beating a team that we don’t know is very good or not which will help us and Oklahoma if we beat TCU even though no one knows if TCU is very good either.

To take it a step further, we really need TCU to beat Oklahoma. I don’t think there’s anyway WVU could beat Oklahoma in two consecutive games. I would argue there’s no team in the country that could do that this year. Even if WVU is the better team, that is a really difficult task.

Kansas - lol forever
Kansas St - destroyed by Miss St
Iowa St - beat by average Iowa
TTU - blown out by average Ole Miss
Texas - loss to Maryland

All say that the B12 cannot play “The SEC Game”

Half the Big 12 teams already have a loss after 2 games. WVU, Oklahoma, TCU, Oklahoma State and even Baylor (!) are still undefeated.

TCU, as OP pointed out, has to deal with Ohio State at p.m. Saturday on ABC.

Oklahoma and Iowa State meet in the first Big 12 conference matchup of the season. WVU has to deal with unbeaten North Carolina State. 5 Big 12 teams will play undefeated teams – Ohio State, Boise State (at Oklahoma State), Duke (at Baylor), Houston (at Texas Tech) and North Carolina State (Mountaineers travel to North Carolina).

The highest ranked team to lose was #15 Michigan State, 16-13 to Arizona State. So WVU won't move up in rankings.

WVU and Oklahoma may be the title showdown game in the Big 12 although a lot can happen between game 2 and the end of the season.

Maryland would be the second best team in the Big XII.
Their run game is near impossible to stop.
They almost ran for 500 on Bowling Green.

I actually think Baylor vs Duke is a bigger game.
Duke is a solid P5 team who just beat Northwestern.
Baylor needs to show it can compete.
TCU will be ran off the field against Ohio St.

Kansas is 1-1.

Yeah. Bowling Green is a real powerhouse.

Maryland dominated them on the road much more than Oregon did in Eugene.
Maryland is a sleeper in the B1G.
If they can go 2-1 or 1-2 against Michigan, Michigan St and Penn St they could be playing a very important game against Ohio St at home.

Maryland at worse will be 8-4 this year.

Well sometimes the score doesn't tell the full story.
They had 10 penalties called against them because when they played Texas the refs allowed them to hold the entire game.
Even with those 10 penalties at half time they had 200 rushing yards on Bowling Green.

You just mentioned 4 straight losses there. Just because Texas can't beat them doesn't mean they are good. They're still without a coach and program is in deep shit. WVU would paste them by 40.

Now it’s the refs fault, lol

Adorable

That gets back to the fact about how horrible the Big XII really is.

If the Big XII refs purposely tries to influence the game it makes CFB irrelevant
It ultimately puts the future of maybe 6 Big XII schools at risk.

Kansas is 1-1.

Right. I got my finger or my eyes crossed when I was reading the Big 12 standings on the ESPN site. It is Oklahoma State that is among the 5 unbeaten Big 12 teams. I fixed it on my post.

Thank you. My face is as red as the font on my OP.

Actually all 10 Big XII teams are unbeaten.
Conference games are the only thing that really matters in the end.

Texas sucks, therefore the B12 does? Great logic there Sherlock.

The Big XII exist because of Texas has continued to stay in the conference.
Yes, Texas determines the fate of the Big XII more than any other university.
It might be hard to handle but there are things in life beyond our control

Texas football, what have you done since WVU joined Big 12-2=10? (root quote)

That's what I thought. NOTHING
