Tarrio denied working undercover or cooperating with prosecutions, but the court transcript contradicted the denial, and the former federal prosecutor in the proceeding against Tarrio confirmed that he cooperated.[22][23] Tarrio's role as an informant was first made public in January 2021,[18] after Reuters obtained the court records and interviewed investigators and lawyers involved in the case.”[22]
