So what is everyone/watching doing during this time of non-sports?

I myself am re-watching The Wire, Breaking Bad and The Sopranos with a few household projects that have been put off for long enough.

Two kids home from school plus a 1 year old, so just managing them. I took the week off. Warm enough this morning for a walk to the playground....but thats mostly it.

I hope to get some home projects done this weekend.

Working, and strongly considering going back to drinking beers on the weekend. Today, I'm celebrating 12 weeks of resting my liver. Weather is still too cold outside for much activity, but gave the bikes a tuneup last Saturday, and if it's above 35 degrees this coming Saturday, I'm going to tune up the tractor and change the blades. Long term, if we have a mandatory stay at home policy put into place, I have a few gallons of paint to re-do the bathrooms, and a bunch of boards to replace on the back deck. I also thought ahead, and picked up 72 beers, to go along with the 50 or so I already had, as an insurance policy.

Working on the house, playing cards with the kids, praying this shit goes away sooner than later.

Starting to feel like groundhogs day here and its only been 5 days since they closed the schools.

I have noticed that I am staying up later, mostly to have some alone time to unwind and be by myself in quiet.

Also checking the news sites far too often.

So you're prepared for the kids to be home until school begins again in August.

I feel like I'm in training to be a monk. There is no sports so therefore no TV has been on. Should be preparing for the tournament tomorrow says the mind and body. Reality sets in when no games are listed.

Well, I can officially sing every song from Frozen 2....

Had a burst of energy late last night and began working on my scary basement bathroom. Tore out old cheap flooring to make way for new cheap flooring.

I think my area will start seeing an increase in cases this week, so the hunkering down will become even more hunkier.

Technically I'm not shutdown from working but business has stopped, so we will see how much my phone rings.

I’m still working from home. Go into the office for about 1 hr a day to send out orders. Daughters travel fastpitch team has taken a break for 2 weeks so far so been doing drills with her. Smoker has been working OT and I’m about out of Birddog whiskey..
Proud dad moment.

I think my son's baseball season will be delayed. He is younger so not much of a problem.

Hope your daughter has a good season.

I asked a friend what he was doing and he answered: "Watching TV--preachers and porn." He said he has a lot of "ups and downs."

Playing lots of games with the family, doing work around the house, lots of professional development since we are teleworking 7 hours a day, and planning lessons for when we ever get to go back to teaching. Although we may spend the year on-line teaching which is going to be very difficult when you teach a hands on class.

I work for an energy support company so I will not get any time off.

Enjoy those little ones. They grow up too fast. My niece who thinks that I am just as much a father to her as my brother now has two of her own and is upset they’ll shut down the state she lives in and will not be up for Easter.

I have 3 of my own.

Netfilx, Amazon Prime, and Hulu. Very little on the broadcast channels. Will be Cutting the Cord as soon as my Dish contract expires.

Starting to feel agitated with all this....

Local officials keep barking commands, with little explanation which are to then revised by governors office. ...legally we can be fined for leaving home for a non-essential purpose. So I guess my right to assembly is currently on hold, until my government overlords tell me otherwise.

Starting to get low on milk and bread, but dont want to bother with a trip to the store for two items.

Yesterday stopped at my friends bar. They cant serve at the bar but can sell 6/12 packs to go...they have huge selection of micros plus traditional. He says his sales are steady enough to keep their heads above water, but most bars arent...I dont see how they survive.

I havent had a drink since this shit-storm began because I dont want to be drunk and stuck in the house with my kids but I might reassess that.

The plan for today is hook up a VCR and watch Wrestlemania 5/6 with my son.

So I found my purpose for today...

Just went outside and saw that a township maintenance truck left deep tire tracks in my yard yesterday.

There was a line of them parked on our street. The ground is soft from rain.

.... So I get to call and yell at them this morning.

While im warmed up from that maybe I will place a call to my internet service provider and bitch about my rates and see what happens....

Watch? Watch! You're not watching crap until the advertisers that ponied up for the Men's Tourney get the chunk of change they laid out for this year's blocs of ad's.

Did I ever tell you guy's I've got a CDC t-shirt? The only way to get one of those is to have a friend or relative who works for them. My SIL did. It was the only thing she was ever good for. She went out to fight a strain of hantavirus in the 4-Corners region in the late 90's that was going to kill us all.

Que?

I was in the mood for a cheap laugh last night and watched Who's Harry Crumb.

John Candy was such a delight. That generation of comedy was incredible...Candy, Akroyd, Chase, Murray, Martin, ect.

I think I will watch The Great Outdoors today.

The home projects are mostly done. I dont want to start anything that requires multiple trips to the hardware store or anything I cant finish in one day.

Watch some old SCTV clips on Youtube to pass some time. It was pretty good. Here are a couple where Andrea Martin plays her foreign cleaning woman character.

Finished DEVS last night on Hulu/FX.

Believe its from the director of Ex-Machina. Has same feel and look.

Hard to explain....but very good. If you enjoyed ex-machina you will like.

Ozark season 3 is in the books. Really enjoyed it. Jason Bateman is so good.

Not sure I like where the story is heading with the finale but this without a doubt one of the best shows streaming.

Good grief....I agree with you!

Constitutional rights are not absolute. They never have been nor will they ever become.

You need to expand on that....

When did the Supreme Court ever rule in favor of something they considered unconstitutional?

There are limits to our rights, but constitutional rights are absolute.

If it is a constitutional right, it is absolute.

Well, an easy one for starters...is freedom of speech absolute? Nope. Definitely are limitations to what you can say...libel, presidential threats, fire in a theater...etc.

You said Constitutional Rights are not absolute...

If it is a Constitutional Right...it is absolute.

What you are discussing are actions which are not considered constitutional rights.

Both Bush (W) and Lincoln suspended Habeas Corpus during their presidencies as it was deemed crucial for the protection/survival of the country. I've given you two examples and you've given me platitudes.

Except these orders are coming from County Executive level officials and being enforced by local level.

See the difference?

There are limits to Constitutional Rights, that isn't the question...
