You bots are funny as well as confused when it comes to Trump. When he jokes or talks in obvious hyperbole (ie: Russia can do whatever the Hell they want with NATO) you take him literally.
When he's literal (march to the Capitol & peacefully make your voices heard) you turn it into hyperbole & accuse him of sparking violence!
NATO was never more secure when we were selling Europe American supplies of LNG (Liquid natural gas) and demanding they pay their "fare share" of their own protection.
Not one person who participated in the so called "insurrection" on Jan 6th brandished any firearms or killed anyone. Not one.
Trump's also never been charged with "insurrection", but Biden is the one who lifted Trump's punishing sanctions on Russian sales of LNG to our European NATO allies.
So you accuse Trump of endangering our allies when in fact it's Biden who gave Russia a blank check to blackmail them over critical energy supplies, and you accuse Trump of leading a violent insurrection when in fact he actually told everyone gathered there to peacefully just go home.

He said NATO countries need to pay their fair share and contribute more. That includes improving their own military instead of depending mostly on us. So it's not a joke. Having to save Europe for a third time would be the joke.

Ok, so it’s NOT a joke. He does intend to abandon our allies if they don’t start contributing more. That’s exactly how I interpreted what he said as well. A post above said his remarks were “obvious hyperbole”.
I think Trump's position is clear. Don't depend on us if you can't at least do your part first paying your share of your own defense. It's not hard to understand.
It is serious and hyperbole. Requiring our allies to fulfill their obligations is the joke. They should be doing this gladly instead of assuming they can just do whatever and expect us to cover their ass.
