Lyons clearly said at end of season evaluation, just as any job, had discussion on offense and defense both knew that changes needed to be made and that the defense was perfect. Getting GH was a big deal for Neal Brown and WVU.

you listen to what Lyons SAYS. What he says illustrates clearly that he directed Brown to make the coaching changes after evaluating the season and sitting down with Brown.
I never said the name of this thread is the name of the posting, that is a deflection. I said the name of the thread illustrates what the content of the thread is about.
Obviously as just about anyone who has worked and had a boss knows, you don't dictate to the boss what you are going to do and you don't just give an evaluation of what's going on with no input from above either. Lyons said he met with Brown and discussed needed changes. He didn't say he listened to Brown and Brown made the decision as to what to do. He brought Brown in discussed the problems and let Brown know that changes were needed and changes were thus made.

The title of the thread is inaccurate and the video shows nothing of the sort. The video is Coachspeak or AD-Speak or whatever. It says what everybody knew it would say beforehand. We've all seen this stuff a million times.
There is one exception though. At about the 5 minute mark, Lyons says that of all the players in the NCAA that went into the portal last year and were on scholarship at the time, 40% of them ended up with no scholarship this year. That is pretty amazing and very interesting.

Anyone can watch the video and actually listen and watch Shane Lyons as he discusses meeting with Brown mid and post season--in fact immediately after the bowl, and discussing that he among others was not happy with the results and that changes needed to be made and they were.

It is realistic to believe that both Lyons and Brown's butts are on the line. The status quo was not working thus changes had to be made. This move with the hiring of an OC is just the start. Waiting for the other shoe to drop for the offensive line. That is why I am tapping the brakes on the OC hire. Unless and until changes are made for the offensive line, we are still stuck in neutral.
We finally have something on this thread other than troll chatter. I wonder how long it will take for the new OC to take up the OL matter or move on? I say a year or less. Both of these issues should have been addressed simultaneously.
