Recount in Georgia is on

Trump was at Arlington in the rain today, first time he'd been seen in days.

Fortunately, I don’t believe there are many “official required acts” left between now and January 20...Pearl Harbor Day December 7, if he chooses to commemorate the day. So we won’t have to look at the piece of shit many more times.

Ahhahaha, I love this shit. #1 Alaska!!! Lying with statistics.
Shit stats for sure.......Alaska had 47 murders last year while Chicago has 634 so far this year .
Plus....of the states that have high crime........almost all of the murders come from cities that are controlled by the Dems, even in Alaska.

He should just jump on the helicopter and be done with it. Finish up in Florida.

I thought the same thing when I read it, but the mail in voting deal made this election ripe for fraud on both sides. If the 18% is true, it would lend to the idea there was funny business going on.

Most of the evidence out there on mail-in voting tend to prove that is is extremely difficult to commit fraud and historically there has been little or no fraud associated with mail in voting.

Instances of mail-in voter fraud are so rare that one study by researchers at Stanford, the University of Pennsylvania, Harvard, Yale, and Microsoft Research found just 0.02 percent of the total votes cast during the 2012 presidential election were proven to be fraudulent. In Oregon, where more than 100 million votes have been cast by mail since 2000, officials have found about a dozen cases of proven voter fraud, according to the National Vote From Home Coalition.

Despite these well-regarded studies, finding evidence that widespread voter fraud exists became one of the Trump administration’s top priorities. In May 2017, the administration established the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity, also known as the “Voter Fraud Commission.” After less than a year of searching for proof, however, the commission disbanded and concluded that evidence of widespread voter fraud was “glaringly empty.”

Just 0.02 percent of the three million total votes cast during the 2012 election were proven to be actual instances of voter fraud.

The group had been led by former Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, a Republican who claimed (without evidence), just hours after Trump’s comments, that “the opportunities for voter fraud are much greater in mail-in voting.” Other former members of the commission clung to a report by the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, that identified more than 1,200 cases of voter fraud.

But voting experts from New York University’s Brennan Center for Justice refuted the Heritage Foundation’s report as “grossly exaggerated and devoid of context.” Although there have been some instances of voter fraud in the past, the Brennan Center says the actual number of proven cases is rare — fewer than 500 mail-in ballots have been fraudulent. “Trump is simply wrong about mail-in balloting raising a ‘tremendous’ potential for fraud,” argued Richard L. Hasen, an election expert and professor at the University of California at Irvine School of Law, in a recent Washington Post op-ed.

Signatures don’t have to match in some places and suddenly mail-in voting skyrocketed in urban areas.

It’s real simple: would you put a C Note in an envelope and mail
It yourself? If not it’s the same principle as mail-in voting. There’s more chance for corruption with more hands handling votes. Given the light Trump has cast on the postal office’s business model you can understand most people’s trepidation on the subject.

LOL. The light Trump cast on the USPS. I’m sure it was purely altruistic. I’m sure he was very concerned with people getting their Christmas presents and wanted to shed light on the issues the USPS that had nothing to do with him purposely defunding and undermining the USPS’s ability to do their job.

Signatures must match perfectly in Georgia. That I know first hand.

If the liberal left socialist party won then why be so scared of a recount?

And does the canvas go back through to verify? I believe some of the complaints in states like PA revolve around observers not being allowed to verify is signatures did indeed match.

You're comparing placing cash in an envelope and mailing it in........... to mail-in voting?
A few states have been engaged in mail-in voting for over fifty (50) years and have
experienced practically zero fraud. Trump has intentionally cast doubt upon the post
office because he removed significant resources from that entity. You don't appear to
understand what you're talking about. The only people who have "trepidation" with
mail-in voting are "Trump Republicans" who have been galvanized and misled by Trump's
false rhetoric leading up to the election. The vast majority of clear-thinking Americans,
(Independents, Democrats & some sane Republicans) have complete faith in the concept
of mail-in voting.

In some places it absolutely does work well. In other places it does not. Every year in our area you hear of some kind of theft or fraud involving a postal worker. I wouldn't trust it even if it was an option and I live in a highly Republican area.

You post underscores the essence of the problem. We have people
who rely upon hearsay (what they hear about unsubstantiated
cases of fraud) rather than fact. That's the very definition of ignorance.

Excuse me, I should have said "reported on the local news".

Now, if you want to call me ignorant I can easily block you and hear nothing you have to say and continue on as usual. If you want to have dialogue without name calling I am all ears.

The democrat party relies on facts?

I didn't directly call you ignorant. However, if
the shoe fits. If you'd like to block me, that's your call.

I don't know if it is fear necessarily but it sure is dismissive. No one on either side complained too much when Gore contested Florida in 2000.

That obviously was because the vote diff was a mere 537 votes, we had hanging chads, dimpled chads..... the state was called for Bush, then Gore, then Bush.

If we had had a complete statewide recount.................. who knows?

No reason for anyone to complain now either given the wealth of issues that have been proven to have gone on.

Regarding the "issues" of voter fraud so far,
absolutely none have been proven. Its time to
drop this stupid charade, move on, start saving
lives and jump start a failing economy.

I'll challenge you once more: What exactly are your cited
"wealth of issues that have been proven"?

Where exactly have these issues been proven?
Name the specific evidence?
Name the courts or judicial forums?

My guess is that I'll never receive a response to these Qs.

Apples and oranges of course. "Wealth of issues" lol All I hear is vague complaining like this from Repubs with no back up.
We shall see. It will make for an interesting time in US history no matter the outcome.

In the Georgia primary this cycle, 12% of ballots were thrown out.

None this general election.

-------

If 3% were thrown out... Trump would win easily...

My problem with the mail voting was all the unsolicited ballots sent out and no tracking of those ballots or cross referencing if the voter actually returning a specific ballot was the same legally registered voter? If that doesn't open the whole process up for abuse, then how do you verify who actually returned which ballots?

The problem with mail in voting and basically voting in general is voter rolls. They need to be cleaned up everywhere. Only registered legal voters should be on the list and it should be up to date as close as possible in every district.

I didn't smile election night, when they announced Biden as winner, and I'm not smiling now.
Not sure what it's going to take, and I'm not sure it'll ever happen either.

As of this evening, Trump is 1-20 in court cases and lost two law firms over the weekend.....his PR stunt is falling apart....

Oh yeah, both Fulton and Dekalb in ATL have finished their state required audit this evening......
